  1. Actually, Luigi's Mansion was rather positively recieved, and was the highest selling game cube launch title. http://www.metacritic.com/game/gamecube/luigis-mansion Considering that Luigi's popularity has done nothing but rise over the years since Luigi's Mansion, it's pretty understandable that they'd make a sequel.
  2. I'm actually okay with most of this. Snivy = Snake or Snide + Ivy. Smugleaf is the best obviously, but this is a decent alternative. Tepig = Tepid Pig. For a first evo, not bad. Oshawott = Canadian Otter. Awesome. I have no idea why they renamed Isshu into Unova, they've never renamed regions before. I'm also not too fond of it either.
  3. For DS: The World Ends With You: Excellent story, innovative battle system, colorful artstyle and music choices. Extremely customizable, even with the difficulty: lets beginners storm through it, and rewards those who choose to challenge themselves. Yes, the beginning shows the protagonist as moody and antisocial. Not only is it done right though, it changes relatively soon as well. Just don't spoil anything for yourself while playing it. Shin megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Great story, multiple plot paths. Artstyle is nice, if not innovative. Music is good, some of it's rather catchy. Great characterization of all characters, as well as letting you characterize the main character however you want (and it does have an impact on story). Battle system: classic grid style, but teams instead of single units per square. Winning a battle depnds very much on strategy and abusing weaknesses as opposed to grinding to increase levels. In fact, there seems to be an anti-grinding system in place, where experience needed to level up raises exponentially instead of linearly. Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story: Cute, funny, fun battle system. Music is amazing. Bowser is amazing. F... main villain is amazing. You really can't go wrong with this. Pokemon HeartGold / SoulSilver: Fun, possibly extremely nostalgic. Lots of polish everywhere, you won't get bored. Don't know bout the Xbox. There are no good RPG's for the wii.
  4. You had me sold even without the bass. And then you added the bass in It's like you gave me a whole loaf of sliced bread, and then told me there's a 10 dollar bill inside I also absolutely love the fact that you managed to reference Kirby's craptacular singing in his games.
  5. Actually, here's last year's report: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Here-Are-Capcom-039-s-Best-Selling-Franchises-111220.shtml And here's this year's: http://thesilentchief.com/2010/07/30/resident-evil-still-capcoms-best-selling-franchise/ So while Mega Man's not where the majority of their profits come from, it is where a very significant chunk of them come from. Since there's actually over 100 different Mega Man games, that's not such a surprise. Sales for his games may be on a bit of a decline recently, but they're still pretty damn popular. Agreed on the executive producer part - Keiji's not done much with the actual gameplay in most Capcom games lately. He's been more of a figurehead, hence why he wants to leave - he wants to be much more involved in the actual creation of the games. So unless him leaving lands a serious blow to the morale of the actual developers and designers, actual gameplay and quality of it won't change that much.
  6. Pokemon Red & Blue: This. The music is genuinely haunting, disturbing, and completely out of place for a game with such upbeat music everywhere else. There are constant references to ghosts all throughout the town it plays in, and it's one of the very few times a reference to death is made in the pokemon series as a whole. In a game played by 9 year olds. For all the one time shockers in games and movies that scare the crap out of you that one time, this seems to be the only one that's gotten scarier to me with time. I was dazzled as a nine year old by this - it was very much my favourite tune in the game. Now I'm just as creeped out as dazzled.
  7. First post and all that jazz. Yeah, the new mastering software has just made a world of difference in the sound. Love the song, I've had it downloaded since febuary. Actually, I love pretty much all of your music - but there's no denying that a lot of it sounds muddy and less clear than it could be. A few of them could probably benefit from a remastering. The old song sounded a little far off, and the sounds kinda bleeded into each other (don't know if I'm saying it right). The new one is much more upfront, clearer, and all the sounds cut through each other much more sharply. At first I thought it was volume, or that one was recorded much louder than the other - that's definately not the case. You just became really proficient at mastering. And before jumping back to re-do old songs, why not finish new ones? Like Battle with the Shelled king ?
