  1. Done right, Trance can be an incredible musical journey that builds and ends in the best, most natural ways, and by my ears, this is certainly done right. Over seven minutes and it stayed interesting the entire time. Gotta echo the love for the choir and piano, that was a beautiful section. Definitely a no-brainer for me to add to my playlist.
  2. The athletic theme always had an odd but fun vibe to it, but this takes it to another playful level that I can appreciate. Short and sweet, it does what it needs to, which is good enough for me. Always a joy to see more Mario World mixes.
  3. Always like a great trance track that keeps focused and varies things up as the mix goes on, and the added sfx and voice clips were good choices for the dream theme. The end section was awesome as well with the almost ethereal voice and piano. This is fantastic!
  4. Not sure how to describe it, but this really feels like a nostalgic celebration. Like a fond memory of the original, which matches the tune change. Good synths and a solid mix all around, and I’m not too bothered by the ending, as a fade is better than an abrupt ending for me. Not bad.
  5. Oh yeah, nice and smooth. Gotta love how many different feelings you can conjure from how a jazz piece is arranged, and this one is certainly a chill and relaxing one for lounging, maybe with a nice drink.
  6. It’s got an awesome club-like energy for sure, and it fittingly still has a snippet of uneasiness under the beat that goes well with the source. Loved the sfx and the drops off the main melody.
  7. The vocal clips and the overall beat made this a great ReMix of Sub Castle, and I do like hearing bLiNd‘s style on it with a little inspiration from mixes that came before it. This is cool.
  8. Grand, epic and triumphant, this is a victory song done right. But the best part to me is that it doesn’t overdo it or blast in your face. More like a musical version of having that feeling of accomplishment when you succeed. Great ReMix, no doubt.
  9. A solid tropical mix with a lot of fun energy, especially with the vocalizations. Some of woodwind instruments still managed to keep some of that original Autumn feeling from the original track, so it felt familiar but new, perfect for a mix. Really enjoyed this one.
  10. That is some tasty, smooth as hell jazz! Any opportunity to make a song chill and fun at the same time is worth it, and this fits! Awesome mix!
  11. I can definitely hear the Infected Mushroom influence in this ReMix, and I liked how much variation to the melody you included for several short sources to make a cohesive song. Gotta love when mixes form like a perfectly solved puzzle. Very nice.
  12. As someone who loves the Killer Instinct soundtrack with all my heart, I truly enjoyed this ReMix. Funny enough, the breakbeat style of jazz here made me imagine this as what The Instinct would sound like under a 3rd Strike lens, and that was cool. Smooth and still recognizable, this is hands down one of my favorite tracks on the album. Great work guys!
  13. Loved the spooky sound effects that really set the mood for a mix like this, but it really shines when the beat picks up and the electronica flows fully. An excellent rendition of Lavender Town and perfect for any Halloween season.
  14. Good lord this was amazing! I love the progression into double time in this one, sounded like a heroic takeoff. And the “real” beat as you called it added another notch to the overall quality of the mix. Add in some clean water and bubble sounds and this jumps up to one of my top 3 arrangements of this tune. Wonderful ReMix, Neon X!
  15. This smooth middle-eastern trap mix is an absolute head-nodder. The beat had plenty of energy and the whole arrangement built upon itself nicely. Very nice.
  16. Feels very much like an energy fueled victory lap after winning a race, but different from overly dramatic and triumphant. More like a satisfied win and a good race run. Very cool, this was a neat mix.
  17. If it got any funkier than this, Afro’s and lighted floors might start appearing. The pinball sound effects where great for the intro and the entire arrangement just sounds full and complete. One of my favorite DS stages sounds pretty good with a bit of groove, love it!
  18. The fact that this ReMix stays interesting and varies itself up as much as it does over the course of eight minutes is a testament to how good this is, and ranging from borderline relaxing to blitzing into metal with enough time to make it sound like a proper build without being jarring is incredibly cool. I truly enjoyed this.
  19. I could certainly get used to more music that combines funky electronica with eastern flair and arranging. Giving it a little bit of rocking guitar later on was a great addition as well. Nice work combing history and music for an overall interesting and fun ReMix.
  20. God, the emotion in this ReMix is super rich and feels a bit sad, but somehow peaceful and hopeful as well, like acceptance after an event. Absolutely gorgeous, especially after the build up when the bit of drum and cello kicks in. This is lovely.
  21. What a fantastic and epic take on the final battle theme, and using victory road as a lead in was cool. Pretty sweet mix.
  22. Lots of fun with the synths and percussion here, and the addition of the Pokémon cries does give it that additional bit of creepy atmosphere with the beat, so it’s perfect for Lavender Town. Very nice.
  23. Not much to say beyond that this was an old childhood game I had and I randomly remembered it existed. Pure nostalgia and that’s all. There were only two actual level themes when you played and they alternated every level. If anyone is looking for something basic to rearrange and make better, here’s two shorter tracks that might be worth a shot. Thanks! Jumping Mouse: On The Prowl:
  24. This is excellent! While I have to admit I prefer the kind of jazz that is more melodic like this mix was in the beginning, there is an undeniable smoothness to this one. Certainly would recommend this to Zelda fans who enjoy a little jazz from time to time.
  25. I will also echo what others have said in wishing there was just a tiny bit more at the end to push this over the edge, but it’s still a decent sounding almost cinematic mix, so that’s cool. Definitely not bad.
