  1. No peta does not have rational views. They value animals above human life, so much that they oppose things like insulin dirived from dogs. And they also do not condemn the actions of the Animal Liberation Front. A group whom has firebombed animal testing facilities and done millions of dollars in damage to advances in medical science.

You may not see their side, but that doesn't mean that their views are not rational. The same argument you're making could be applied to pretty much anything. Abortion for instance.

  2. What it comes down to most is the feel of your guitar. The string gauge determines how easy the guitar is to play (lighter strings bend easier and aren't as damaging to your fingers) and also the tone of the strings (heavier strings tend to have a little bit more bottom end definition to the sound). And the pick gauge determines the string attack sound, a little of the string tone, and most importantly the playing feel in your hands. Heavier picks give you a more controlled and rigid feel, and smaller picks give you more control.

There are also other factors like lower tuning stability with heavier strings and different types of attack dynamics with light/heavy picks etc etc, but mainly what it comes down to is playing comfort.

Lol, I'm just using the strings that came with my guitar...I should probably get those replaced sometime though.

  3. Nobody's mentioned Valkyrie Profile?

It's probably the most emotional game I've played (I mean you spend the entire game watching people die, and some of the stories are really touching).

It is really story heavy though. You have to be willing to sit through half hour cutscenes.

  4. Cool!

Lol, I guess I should mention the piano too seeing as you specifically asked about it XD

I usually don't mind sequenced piano much, and it seems to work well enough in this piece, so there are really no complaints here :)

I think I remember someone mentioning the piano sample in Mayan Malfunction as well, but it didn't bother me there either, so other people may have differing opinions on this.

  5. Guess what? I'm going to bump all of the tracks you've posted here because they're all awesome, and because somehow I missed them when they were first posted :D.

This one starts off kind of slow, but it gets really interesting by the end.

    Great creepy atmosphere too.

Kind of appropriate for the time of year I guess (even if you posted it 2 months ago :P).

  6. However, BGC's "The Clubbing of Isaac" and zircon's "Ashes to Ashes" inspired me to try tasteful addition of wobble bass, since they proved that it CAN be done without overwhelming a track (suck on that, Skrillex...)

I'm with you there. I find most straight-up dubstep really boring, however if it's used in moderation and with other elements, it can turn out really nicely.

Aaaaand, you did it really well :)

    Great song!

The last ten seconds hurt my ears though :S

  7. Nah, that was intentional actually - The Curse might as well be melded into The Oracle is my thoughts, although if something is to change, I wouldn't mind either. However it shakes down can always be adjusted.

Ah, fair enough. I guess there isn't really much to work with in the curse anyway.
