  1. I'd love to be in this album as well, if possible. My soundcloud in sig below.
  2. Most of the advice I've been given is about mixing. Stereo control and making sure EQing and compressing pops everything out so you can hear every part well. I've learned a lot all by myself. Not sounding perfect? It won't sound perfect. I'm a ridiculously heavy perfectionist and I sit there trying to perfect something to its perfectest. And I can get really dang close, but the MOMENT it is out of your hands and out to the public and you can't go back and change it, there's always at least one thing in the song you notice you had wished you would've fixed. Always happens. There are many other things I've learned throughout the years. That's just one of those things I decided to point out just cuz I could.
  3. I didn't know there was a Castlevania game for Saturn... I feel sorta stupid that I didn't know that... Also, as I said earlier, it's a no-brainer I won't have anything by May 1st. When's the next deadline after that one?
  4. Ok well yeah I can still do PP lullaby. I was originally intending to do that one, but leaving Slider in the dust just doesn't work. That song is my pure childhood. How many A.D.D. kids does it take to change a light bulb?
  5. You know what, SM64 without Slider doesn't work. Tonight I'm going for it.
  6. I don't think I've ever played any games by LucasArts (maybe I have and I've forgotten), so this isn't really all that harmful for me.
  7. I have had no time to try and submit anything for the PP lullaby, which I was hoping to do. I probably won't make it.
  8. Ou, probably not going to be able to make that happen. Way too busy with other projects and school for the next month or so. :/
  9. I have one. Sonic '06. The whole freaking thing should've been fixed.
  10. Just turn down the master so it isn't clipping and if it has got to be loud at that exact moment, stick a limiter on it. But you have to know how to control the limiter, and the rest of your mix will be based around the limiter. So don't just throw it in there and assume that that will do it. Because it won't. Unless this isn't your question, Es.
  11. This question I'm not even going to answer. My perfectionist level is so high, that every single game I play, there is at least ONE thing wrong. My perfectionistness is so high some people think I should be tested for OCD. Pretty dang sure I don't have OCD.
  12. I'm good with that. Just PM me if you wanna do somethin'.
  13. I still wanna try PP's lullaby, but I have a feeling it's too late...?
  14. I'm totally double-posting. I'm so lovely. I have 3 different versions of Dragon Roost I did some time back. One of them I went back and suddenly noticed I may have something here, but the other two weren't as special. I'd like to show them to the team, but the issue is that I don't want to reveal it to all the public on this thread. Could we create a private thread in the Projects area under the Community category? Ya know that place? Then we could all post our remixes and talk about them, also. If Swift is the absolute only one making crits here, then I guess I can just PM you, Swift, but if not, why not create a private thread? Are we able to?
  15. Hey there. I'm not dropping my track, but I need to let everyone know I haven't even started it. I put together a few different ideas but I wasn't sure I had it yet. Additionally, my schoolwork situation is keeping me from doing a whole lot, and I have my own indie project I'm working on and songs I've written that I want to work on. This isn't to go and say I'm defying this project and just avoiding it. But when I write a song, I gotta execute it to Logic Pro. Currently I'm--surprisingly, honestly--having a hard time finding a good feel for Dragon Roost. Anyone have some ideas? I promise I will have a good amount of stuff to you by April, Swift, and I'll have the final thing done by May.
  16. Senorita - Justin Timberlake Heck yes. I just finished listening to the whole new 20/20 record.
  17. wut. wwwwwuuuuuuuuuttttttttt. funking yes. hehehe see what I did there. hehe yeah that was rich.
  18. Well right, there's always been piracy. But yes, with the internet, everything has become so easy these days and piracy is just another one of those things.
  19. How about the guy just makes some freaking dubstep and we all go home.
  20. He is unfortunately right. Back before the internet came around and secular music and more mainstream stuff was actually by artists that were talented, studio musicians would actually make a good deal of money and they enjoyed what they did. There was good music then. Now, most studio musicians are beginning to hate their job. They are just playing on untalented, uninteresting crap all the time. It's really rather unfortunate. And then as an ARTIST, things could either be good or bad. Good part is if you are lucky enough, you can sign with a label and pray to God they will let you do what you want with your music. And you could go on tours and get a good deal of popularity and make a good amount of money. But there's the big problem. Selling albums is now only there for people to hear the original recording and maybe once and a while you'll make some money off of it. So much piracy happens these days (and even though Spotify isn't legally piracy and is a completely legal application, it's still sorta unfair, as an indie artist myself), that you get fortunate when your record actually made money. Most money that an artist makes comes from concerts. The music industry is just a pure pain nowadays. And even the film industry can be hard. Really, media-related work is just hard to deal with these days. It's really sad. I wish I had lived during the 80s or 90s or even much earlier than that (well I lived in the 90s but I was only a tiny little kid then).
  21. GAH I want to show a WIP of something but I haven't had time! Hopefully I'll find some time to try submitting something to ya.
