  1. What Tydin said haha. But actually, what software are you using?
  2. Do you see another drive or anything in the "DEVICES" section on the left in Finder?
  3. No, no. It's the beat sound itself. It just doesn't feel big enough. Though, with the direction this remix is going right now, I don't think that a bigger beat would work very well.
  4. So Retro's allowing people to submit remixes for the project?
  5. Overall, this does not sound bad, but there are some problems. First off, I really am not feeling the beat. This may be because I'm one for big beats and cool grooves, but I'm not feelin' it. Also, that bass (the low frequency in the EQ, mainly) has got to come up. I'm also one who loves dat bass. From 0:06 to 0:14, the vibraphone or whatever that is doesn't work. Its chord changes are coming in before the other chord changes coming from the other instruments, and it just sounds a little weird. Keep it up, though. This sounds interesting.
  6. Can you not just go to the file and drag it over. Or are you saying you cannot locate it at all and you cannot recover the file?
  7. I hate reading score. I am fine with charts, though.
  8. Wait so are you saying that we can request a bonus track or something?
  9. Is Shreddage, by any chance, compatible with Logic? Is it a plug-in compatible for more than just FL? If that's what you're using, it actually doesn't sound bad. Though I'd still try to get real guitar when I could.
  10. Yeah, that synth was actually a reference to the Zelda theme, if you didn't notice. It's not very obvious. Thanks, will check it out. EDIT: Not sure... sounds quite a bit fake to me...
  11. Thanks and will work on it! As for sax, if I can collab with someone on here for that, that'd be awesome. I cannot play sax myself.
  12. Logic Pro has got some nice bass sounds that sound sorta real.
  13. Whoa are you doing that song for the game?? This is pretty sweet. Nicely mixed.
  14. Uh, it's USB. JamLab is a converter. One side is the side where it connects to the guitar. The other side is the USB cord. But the picture Sixto is showing there looks like pure USB.
  15. They do. I use a cheap one (though it does work and is rather nice) called JamLab. I have my friend come over and we just connect the cable from the guitar to the computer and start recording stuff (I don't play guitar myself).
  16. Do you have a USB cable you can just connect your guitar to your computer with? It's the simplest way to do it. If there are amp plug-ins on FL Studio, then there you go.
  17. Now, hold on. It isn't as simple as just duplicating a track and putting it in the other ear, if that's what you're saying. The tracks have to have slight differences to them to give a stereo feel. If they both sounded exactly the same, it would just sound like the track was in the center. A really cheap way to do it is just to move one of the tracks (let's just use the right ear, for example) just a few ticks either to the right or left. This will give it a stereo sound, but most certainly more of a fake stereo sound. Do you actually play guitar at all?
  18. Ok, the mixed one actually didn't sound bad. I'm thinking maybe you should create a more stereo sound for the guitar. I don't know how much you know about doing that, so I'll go ahead and explain what I'm talking about. With that guitar riff, I definitely would've done some stereo recording. I would've recorded the guitar for the left ear, and then I would've doubled it and recorded it again for the other ear. It gives this really cool stereo sound. But hey, the bass is actually not bad! I'm actually hearing it. How much compression are you using on the drums/master track. I'm most certainly hearing some compression (or the Limiter). Sounds slightly too high and I think it may be taking over some sounds. And I'd say a little more kick. A little more compression and EQ to that kick and it should actually sound pretty good. Maybe add in some other guitar riffs in the song so it isn't so bare? Again, I'm not one that does a lot of rock-related music, but I have recorded guitar many times before.
  19. You know what, I may take that back. I just remembered we have Amaterasu, and I may ask him if he could do a violin solo on the track.

    Still thinking about it...

  20. At 0:55, yeah, I sort of changed the melody a bit to make the chords work. At 0:37, it seems fine to me... hmmm...
