  1. http://www.fileplanet.com/218159/210000/fileinfo/Elder-Scrolls-III:-Morrowind---Morrowind-2011-Compedium-Mod-

After trying to get Morroblivion to run i gave this one a shot. You can use the Steam version and get everything you need for a couple of bucks.

Ya'know....I looked at some of the YouTube videos of this. Why are their TREES surrounding Balmora? That kind of...wasn't the point. It was in a desert.

Some of the greens are too green, it doesn't look PERFECT, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to give this a try.

  2. I'm not really digging it. I mean, it's fun but it's very very bland. It doesn't feel as fun as Mario 64, Mario 64 DS, Mario Galaxy, or really even New Super Mario Bros, the force 2D just kind of really makes every level feel like a REALLY short Super Mario Bros level.

I'm not saying I don't like it, but I definitely don't love it.

  3. If you haven't played the game yet today, you need to avoid the latest patch at all costs. If you're on PC, first disable automatic updates for the game, then go into offline mode before you launch it.

The new patch creates more problems than it fixes, some of the most severe gameplay bugs introduced are magic resistances not working at all and dragons refusing the fight you.

The patch notes didn't even seem to figure anything anywhere.

"Fixed rare issue where NPCs show up dead to your wedding"

"Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug"

What about Markarth being totally unusable after that prison questline?

What about the "Blood on the Ice" quest in Windhelm never starting and making it impossible to buy a house there?

What about the thieves guild quest required to complete the guild master questline that send you to a house in Whiterun that you can't enter if you've done the civil war questline?

These seem WAY more important than some rare sleeping animation bug.

  4. No one replied to this? I'm going to put my vote in for Wordpress. Wordpress is an EXTREMELY powerful tool, and I used it at my old job to make everything from website directories, to eCommerce solutions. In my spare time I even created a damn accurate VGMix clone in a relatively short amount of time (though I'm not sure how well optimized it'd be for that kind of load).

If you want to make an easy to edit, blog free wordpress site all you need to do is:

    1. Add a bunch of pages
    2. Disable comments (you may want to also comment OUT the comments template, or not add one if you're making a custom site)
    3. Change the "main page" under "admin -> reading, iirc" to a static page, and leave the "post index" blank

Now you can easily add, edit, delete pages with relative ease, and you have access to wordpress's editor and plugins (All-In-One SEO pack, Sitemap generators, etc).

Also make sure you turn clean URLs on.

I've never used Drupal, so I can't comment on that, but I didn't like Joomla because it really bottle necks you into a specific "Section -> Category -> Article" format, as far as I could tell, and I didn't really feel that suitable for many solutions.

  5. Really? Is that the official word? That's kind of...unfortunate. I understand the POINT of the guidelines being set up the way they are (so people don't go doing Star War remixes when they're not really video game remixes), but I'd think with the Wii channel that the music was written specifically for a video game console, and while it's not specifically a "video game" it really wouldn't be confused or used anywhere else...

...granted it's going to be PRETTY RARE where this stuff comes up, and we don't necessarily want people remixes bootup sounds (is there even enough source there?), and then maybe some TV has games on it and has music on other menus and creates a problem with the system, it just seems like exceptions could be made where appropriate.

Again, it makes sense it's just...kind of unfortunately. Definitely kind of a grey area.

Edit: In fact, I think if an argument can be made for Mario Paint, an argument could be made for the Mii Channel.

  6. It's probably due to false flagging. There are many people that don't know what derivative works or Fair Use are.

It's most likely a hack because the channel has this message:

"This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, scams and commercially deceptivecontent."

That's not copyright. If it WERE copyright issue half of YouTube wouldn't exist. Regardless, there's a form for that:

  7. It is worth noting that, in at least some degree Diablo 3 is (can be) completely free "sort of".

For anyone unfamiliar on how it works:

    1. You have/buy World of WarCraft (which a base level cost $20 now a days AFAIK which gives you access to the first 2 expansions)
    2. You pay for WoW for 1 year. Either in 1 lump some or 12 consectutive months.

Once you do this you get Diablo III and a few other things you don't really care about BUT if you're one of the people that has a constant WoW subscription anyway, then you really do get the game for free, and I assume this is because Blizzard REALLY wants THOSE WoW players to play Diablo because they think they'll use the marketplace more.

  8. Yay Lunatic Moon in credits :D

Great episode, too. I have no problem with online-only. Seriously, how often are we playing games on a computer that has no internet connection? For me, that's literally never. If I'm on a plane or something it's usually too uncomfortable to bust out the laptop and try to play something non-casual, so in that situation I'm using handhelds anyway.

  9. Sooooo I have a debuff that I can't see that dropped my weapon skills down into the teens. My "active effects" turns up nothing. I've been to shrines, drank potions, slept, restarted, and nothing has worked.

    I can't kill anything anymore :|

There's got to be some kind of console command to clear negative effect, right?

  10. Crisis city made me want to look into Sonic 2006, then I remembered what a big piece of shit it was and quickly changed my mind.

damn its a fun level though

I watched a play through of Crisis City and the game had to load TWICE in the middle of it. That's bananas.

I did go out and buy a used copy of Sonic Unleashed for $17 and it's...not terrible, but not what I would call good. Sonic is so fricken fast he's hard to control, all of the levels are LITERALLY turbo boost all the way through, the werewolf parts are SUPER annoying, but all in all I'm enjoying it-ish. The environments are fricken nice.

It definitely feels like a Sonic Generations beta build, though.

Physical copies were originally only available for Kickstarter backers, but now you can get the whole album on Bandcamp for just $10!

This version of the album includes a ton of really great new tracks from Shael and Ty, as well as everything on the original "Songs from the Pit" EP album. All of it has been re-mixed (mostly by Ty) and professionally mastered by Drew Lavyne.

It includes cameos from artists including Brian Mazzaferri, Schaffer the Darklord, Mega Ran and more!

  13. All new cast!?!? Brilliant if so.. I almost demand that fighting series come with all new casts.. because there isn't much point in getting a game that is exactly like the previous one.. just with another number in the title. So if it's mostly new characters.. I will be getting this for sure..

Not an ALL new cast, but plenty of new characters. I think it's about a 50/50 split right now

NOW.. It's time for Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat to do the same thing.

  14. so did you guys find this to be racist? The nerdcore scene seems to think I'm performing in blackface.

Not that I really want to get into this debate too much, but nerdcore is largely a group of untalented musicians trying to piggyback off the fame of a handful of actually talented artists by use of a buzz word.

I have never seen or heard anything in "nerdcore" that I've truly thought was racist, because I've never believed satire of rap is satire of black people all together.

    and
are proof positive that "rap culture" is not exclusively black.

This song is about as racist of this picture:

If this song is racist, than this song is the perfect counter argument:
