  1. http://dod.bossies.org/

This is the site you'l find 90 percent guitar/metal remix apart from the occasional piano style or random awesomeness.

I suggest anything from virt, snappleman, prince of darkness, ashane, BONKERS, shnabubula, mustin, brandon strader, rexy, norg, Danimal Cannon, CarboHydroM, braincells and housethegrate.

EDIT:i noticed you included dueling of duels but i still think the site is awesome

  2. I'm frankly rather suprised that this hasn't been brought up before.

It has, many, many, many times.

what are the legal and ethical implications of using MIDIs downloaded from sites such as VGMusic for remixing?

For remixing, I'm pretty sure that would fall under fair usage

but really 30 minutes to mess about a midi and release it?

Is that all the effort your going to put into it?

I might not be a remixer but still that sounds like the kinda half arsed thing that i'd do.

Take more time into your midi fiddling and perhaps you'l be surprised at the results you get, you might end up with something entirely new.

Try starting out in the workshop, there's a lot of talented people that are willing to help (i'd suggest using soundcloud for audio uploads btw)

Either way, I'm sure there's plenty of people willing to help make your mixes become even better, (perhaps popping into the irc chat and asking around)

  3. Okami is the only game I've ever had to abandon halfway through. What a beautiful, entertaining game... great for me and my 7 year old son both... but those digging challenges are a pain in the ass due to the instability of the wiimote when drawing lines and patterns. Halfway through the game, there is a digging challenge you must pass to continue the story (the "Kaguya" challenge). I tried it fifty hundred times with the most miserable failure. I've tried to teach my son about not screaming in frustration at a video game. Had to stop trying this challenge... I wasn't being a good role model anymore. :-|

I am so disappoint D: okami is a wonderful game, although i do remember that challenge being tough on the ps2 version, i hope you retry this game again one day..

  4. Jesus, that game was fun, and it's still by far the best GTA. I haven't played it in years. Did it age well?

To me it has, it was after all my personal fav of the entire series bar of course san andreas. i could play san andreas and gta3 and still get a kick out of them, listening to chatterbox with lazlow talking about eating squirrels and interviewing Fernando Martinez,

same with san andreas and gardening with maurice.

"ALLLLRIGHT Ants, killer bee's, fat people, whats plaguing you call now"

  5. Playing gta3 for the first time and falling into this completely free 3D city and being allowed to do anything i want.

That or playing metal gear solid and falling in love with the complex storyline.

And of course playing sonic adventure for the first time, omg playing emerald coast on that one day my brother brought a dreamcast home from working in blockbusters, i spent the entire day on sonic adventure.

The greatest thing is due to not playing so many games i get to experience them now.

chronotrigger, megaman, the x series, super metroid, earthbound, THESE are the games I'm trying out now due to the immense following for these games and after playing them, i can see why.

And so i'm gaining more and more memorable gaming moments day by day.

that may sound cheese but its true :P

  6. There's free programs that help convert audio formats as well, such as audacity which allows quite alot as well as dvdvideosoft audio convert program.

As for instruments recording, the only one i might be able to help with is the electric guitar which usually have a input plug for amps, which you can plug into the p.c's microphone input via a speaker cable you usually get nowadays with modern desktop p.c's.

Audacity might help with cleaning up the audio recording perhaps seeing as there's a option to take out vocals in there.

Hopefully that will help on the more technical side of things.

    Good luck

  7. (Sonic Adventure)

*cue explaining why the song is incredable*

dude you picked my favourite song of that entire franchise, of course i'm going for sonic adventure.

    ok fine ill write paragraphs

    1) this song was one of the main things i heard as a sonic fan the first time sonic went 3D on his first actual stage

the style suited the level so well, on a beach where you can chill out and enjoy the views, but with enough action to give you an adrenaline rush which the sonic series ussually injects

2)well as i said the song actually really suits the level design, with it rather linear but with some different paths , really jun senoue really did well creating this track, hopefully i'll get to see him play it someday, i missed out back in 2010. as pixalpanic stated the sa soundtracks all seem to gel so well with the game design, its most likely why most sonic fans consider the games the best.

3)this song, no matter where i had heard it i would of fell in love with it, so calm and nice to listen to, its a kind of song you could listen to with the top down on a nice drive to the beach (as you probably tell i love the guitar)

Insidentally i can actually play the sitar parts on my guitar (i have trouble when the actual guitar comes in tho >.<)

  8. i stopped watching as soon as the channel started doing live action comedy shows, I'm sorry but that's not a cartoon

by then they had just finished the last showing of dragonball z,

they had already took off samurai jack, justice league and megasxlr, only teen titans was left anyway and they barely showed it anyway.

Those were the only shows i watched on toonami anyway.

toadofsky, thank you for the link dude, i really appreciate it
