  1. So, here's an update addressing some of the problems. No new content, yet. I'm thinking of going to the chorus next from here? You guys want that, or do you want some more build-up type stuff?
  2. Firstly, thanks for the feedback, man! I really appreciate your word. Secondly, increasing the bass volume and fixing the vibes near the beginning, those I will attempt to fix by the next update. The beat issue, I'm not quite sure I can fix right yet, as I'm not sure what specifically your talking about, in regards to the beat. Am I throwing in too many complicated, syncopated stuff that could be simplified into something more appealing? Or is it not syncopated enough?
  3. Hello. I'm looking to get feedback on a Sonic 3&K (Flying Battery) WIP. Would you care to listen and share your thoughts? I am eager for any sort of criticism, preferably constructive. I thank you for your time.

(BTW, sweet avatar choice; that boss has the most awesome music!)

  4. JD, man, I'm not coming across as weird or annoying, what with my commenting on all your stuff, am I?

  5. Hey, I see you're also a Sonic fan; perhaps you'd have some words on this WIP of mine., eh?

  6. Hey, man, would you care to give me feedback on this Sonic 3&K WIP? (It's Flying Battery zone) I'm all ears!

  7. What he said! Something I found that can help when trying to make your thing deviate from the original is take the key the song's in and noodle around in it on your weapon of choice. Do that for a while and you may stumble upon something that could add a lot to your mix. Also, (this is more of a mind thing, so bear with me) try listening to your mix over and over and really think about sort of atmosphere its got, maybe even imagine the sort of setting or environment it could be played in. I find that this can sometimes really give me inspiration. Your mileage may vary, though; this isn't guaranteed to work for everyone. Keep on working at it, though, and you'll make some progress!
  8. That must of sucked. Anyhoo, it's most swell that you've returned; your stuff's better than ever.

  9. So, I see you were gone from OCRemix for a long time, after being one of the earlier remixer. How long was your absence and (I'm just curious) what was behind it?

  10. So, do you see yourself putting Panic Puppet up for Mod Review pretty soon?

  11. It's clearly just a disgruntled Sonic posting on JDHarding's behalf.

  12. And here's yet another update! This one comes with an intro (which totally rips off James Bond; I'd always been reminded of that theme when listening to this song. I initially intended to really bring that out, but ended up with this trance-y, dance-y thing. Then, I realized I needed a real intro and made the most of the opportunity.)
  13. I've seen the beginning of Bliss by Muse compared to Top Gear's .
  14. I really like DSK's plugins, because there's such a great variety of different ones and most of them are simple to use. Even a relative newcomer such as myself can expect an inviting learning curve trying to use these. The fact that they're free is also rather attractive. What do you guys have to say about DSK? Any particular favorites?
  15. Would you care to change my name to 2manygentlemen ? It's my soundcloud username and continuity's always a good thing.
  16. So, I'm starting from scratch on a less derivative one. So far, I've got about 40 seconds worth. Does this sound different enough, so far?
  17. I'm wanting to remix Flying Battery, but fudged up the thread title.
  18. Hey, man, did you ever try submitting that Magnetman remix you did some months to the judges? I think it's the bee's knees.

  19. I thank you guys for the continued feedback. I may actually go ahead and get around to fixing this mess soon. Probably will start from scratch, or at least do a major re-haul.
  20. Here is the current version: It's right here, trust me.
  21. PP's put it must eloquently. You've got yourself a real solid mix in need of a bigger climax. Beef that ending up and you'll be golden, AFAIC.
  22. By clashing notes, do you mean that in terms of pitches? I'm not exactly clear on what you meant by that. I thank you for giving your word. Didn't realize t'was that off the mark. Critical listening/hearing other's submitted works is sort of making it more clear what the difference between my thing and other, more refined sounds is. Much work will need to be done.
