  1. LOL I have photoshop, too, you know. megaman4inlayrz4.png was pretty nice, but it should be darker and that solar explosion - well there should be so much less of it. megaman4inlay1nu3.png was actually better than any of the others, to be honest...
  2. We're almost done, man. I've finished my exams now. Tomorrow I'll read through some bios and link to them in the first post. When we have a few up, I'll contact LT.
  3. at 00:57-1:00 or so, I'm pretty sure the vibes (or whatever it is) is playing a C# while the melody plays a D, which doesn't work when you're playing in the A# key. In this same section, the melody is too loud imo, it's like it's playing a melody here but it's really just playing a "riff"... The volume levels are in general very good in this song, you have instruments entering the mix and leaving again in a very nice and smooth way, but this one 3 second section kinda... you know. Just lower the volume on this melody part here, or remove one of the instruments playing it and see if you don't agree it's better that way. Please? The dissonance reoccurs in 1:05-1:06 and probably in more places in this section, but briefly enough not to bother me. And then the same thing happens in 3:36 (the piano, but it's not so bad this time) The whole mix sounds south American for some reason btw, like it's a remix of an Aztec theme or something. Can't really explain why, but it's cool. Also, the "fi" in final looks a lot like "A" with winamp's font... Well, the drums and the bass play the same 2-second loop the whole way through the song, which makes the whole song pretty boring. I also think you could beef that bass up at some point with one that doesn't have hardly any reverb at all. All in all, the song's very repetitive, there's no break or change anywhere. Seriously, making a good remix within 24 hours is hardly possible even for a professional. Let the mix lie and wait for you for a week or so, listen to other music, analyze it, listen carefully and closely and then go back and look how you can improve your own song, that's my best advice. Also, the album inlay you made looks a little cheap - the lens flare is overdone and not very pretty. Your sig image looks much better. The idea was pretty nice though, I like the blue color.
  4. I'm sorry, XFactor, but the sound quality in the SkeletonDance of yours is horrible. All I can hear are really loud and painfully distorted drums, a melody drenched in reverb and a didgeridoo bass, also drenched in reverb and completely inaudiable when the melody is playing. I'm sorry for sounding like a Judge here, but this is really not up to the project's standards. You definitely need to spend more time on this. Anyway, how ironic that weeks passed with no activity and now we have 2 people who want to do the same song tmf, I like the changes you've made to your song. The strings really fit in nicely. There are still some places where you're having one instrument play a major key and the others a minor key, which really doesn't sound nice, especially since I'm pretty sure it's unintentional. I'm sorry the song is so difficult to export for you... What software are you using? Maybe I could export it for you? I'm on a 3GHz P4 2GB RAM machine here...
  5. An appropriate title for Drill man's theme... how about "Enter the Dentist" or something? ;P Seriously though, no, not right off the bat. Is your newest version uploaded to the FTP? I don't know about lossless audio, how is it usually done around here? I don't care much for it myself - I can hardly even tell the difference between a 128kbps mp3 and a 160kbps one, heh...
  6. You're on. The samples were not too bad... anyway, the important thing is you have some arrangement skills and the inspiration to make a remix, which this mix clearly shows you do. I'll be here to help you with your mix, though I can't say I'm that good myself I'm eagerly awaiting your WiP and am prepared to be pwned (musically speaking, that is). So, you want me to sign you up for Skull Man?
  7. Indeed we are. I'm still too busy to be working on this right now. I'm glad someone else does, though, hehe... :/
  8. Bump. I'm working on contracting new mixers for the project, and also on polishing my remixing skills. I just figured out how to use the vocoder in Reason - I'm sure that could add some interesting things to my mix.
  9. I'm really too busy to help motivate a project coordinator do some work for his own project. Besides, I have similar motivation problems of my own. Anyway... haven't people nagged on you enough as it is? Either way, I'm not currently doing any work for the project, myself, either.
  10. It's not real bass, it's a synth, so who cares? Either way, the song currently lacks low frequencies completely. Some of that round and warm bass feel could really improve it a lot.
  11. Dude, that bassline should be transposed one octave down. It's playing the alto right now. Hnuh... and there's too much reverb on everything. Try a slightly more studio feel.
  12. The following post contains all of the code for the page. Upon clicking submit, now, what happens is I get a "The requested method POST is not allowed for the URL" error. I think this code uses asp or something and it's supposed to use php. I'm not sure, but it's something about the server not supporting the script this was written in. I'm guessing this: <!--webbot BOT="GeneratedScript" endspan --> <form method="POST" name="FrontPage_Form1" action="index.htm" onsubmit="return FrontPage_Form1_Validator(this)" language="JavaScript" webbot-action="--WEBBOT-SELF--"> is what's causing the problem? The "index.htm" is the file that contains this code, I'm guessing that's a bad idea, but I don't really know what I should put there instead.
  13. Hello! I'm working on a php form that's supposed to send the text written/options chosen in the form boxes as an e-mail. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me a brief explanation of how to make the php form send an email when a certain button is clicked by the visitor. Everything in the form is done - the boxes are there, error messages appear upon clicking "submit" if a box has been left blank, etc. All I need is the e-mail thingy. Any good links to tutorials on the matter?
  14. Hm. Do you think you could post that link again?
  15. I want to buy a bass. Is an Aria Pro II something worth having, and what should you expect to have to cough up for a used one? Is $300 a good price?
  16. Who the heck is leepmeister? lol EDIT: Oh. Diveman is yours! The files you sent me were very interesting... I didn't know people were still making mod files these days. I think you'll have to improve sound quality-wise, but your arrangements are certainly good enough. Also, you're welcome to do a vocal mix (I intend to, myself), but I think we need to keep the level of humor down a little for the project (I gave your hilarious MM2 remix a listen - I think most MM4 fans would be disappointed if you did the same thing to Diveman's song )
  17. I love the soundtrack, but I don't really see how a remix would be possible.
  18. Huh, I wasn't aware of that. But yeah, you could do that . And, chances are you won't be accepted, and then submitting now gives you more time to finish your song. I'd rather not have one version of your song in the project, and then a "better" version for OCR. Submit it when you feel you're done, and it's still part of the project. But if you want, you can ask them to wait with publishing it until the project is done. Which may be a while, I might add.
  19. This sounds exactly like something that DJP would make. Not that I'm a huge fan of his, but I actually sorta preferred your version. Luke didn't get the bass line right. Try not to rely so heavily on samples though.
  20. I think some songs are better as rock remixes and some are better as techno remixes. A good remixer can take a song to any genre and it'll still work. Myself, I like to explore what I think is what the composer had wanted, had he had better equipment than the nes sound engine.
  21. You're on. Take either one. I don't really care much whether we do rock or techno, myself.
  22. I've gotten started on an animal village mix, but it still blows massively, so I'll post something when I think it's worth listening to.
  23. I know it is not done quite yet, but the way this has been done was great. People hopped on this and you showed great enthusiasm all the way through. You lead this great, and I am happy that this is actually almost to the victory line. Just wanted to say great job on this and here's to ya and the rest of the people who made this work Agreed. And thanks!
  24. Except it's not done yet. And what's been done has little to do with my own efforts, really...
