Considering they re-released the previous entries, I'm thinking they also want to bring in new fans. Also, several of the new worlds are Pixar properties that are both nostalgic and have had new entries in their series.

I think some of it will make more sense in the actual context of the movie.

Based on trademark filings, there's been speculation that Nintendo is releasing a N64 Classic, so we may need a thread for that at some point.

Though it probably does look better than plugging your PSP into your TV.

That said, I hope that they have something unique to draw people in, much like the addition of Star Fox 2 did for the SNES Classic. I've seen a suggestion about possibly including the T-Rex tech demo.
