I submitted. It's been a while since i've commented here lol. Been very busy as usual, working nonstop on my entrant.

Wait so did Omnisphere sample it then? If so how could they! It's almost as shocking as me finding out form Deadmau5, that the infamous Vengeance drum packs used by so many producers, are actually old songs ripped and repackaged. Also when another pack comes out, they take the same samples from the previous packs, and modify them ever so slightly. (Hence why they all sound the same....) Seriously though, i thought Omnisphere was original patches, both from users and the guys who created the VST. Side Note: Omnisphere takes up a whopping 72gb of space. Like what in the actually hell, no wonder i can't have it, it's too large....

Wait Chrono Cross was released in 1999... Was Omnisphere really that old?

Here's some of my thoughts, since i didn't get a chance to vote. Kat - Oh man this is pretty, i love the contrasting sections between the rock and the orchestral, that works perfectly. If i have to be honest, the drums in the first half could be mixed a bit better, but the rest was soo good. Really nicely done well done! Wassup Thunder - Jesus that scared me lol. The orchestration really turns it into more PRC than MnP, it's gone from a slow emotional tune, into a cinematic film cue. Again the orchestration is awesome, and works well, but it's very PRC not MnP. Great job! TheVodouQueen - The chords are pretty....this is a chord progression i dig, like a lot. The contrasting sections works like a charm too, the whole track is too pretty. The vocals for me were a mixed bag. I like the idea of integrating it, but i feel it works best without them, i'm more a fan of the instrumental. The overall instrumental is very pretty, especially the ending. Great job! APZX - This is also pretty, i am in love with the synth choices, soo good. It's a bit too much on the amount of instruments, i like the ending a lot, you could add that in halfway to make it more spaced out, and not as busy. But the idea was lovely, i really like this a lot. Great job! HoboKa - I don't think i've ever received a real HoboKa entrant in a long time lol. It's always a bonus haha, Dex even said it lol. I do love the choir though, it's a beautiful addition with the piano. I do think it's a very static arrangement, you could add more, and make it more than 2 instruments. Great arrangement though! Great job! Souperion - The strings are nicely integrated. I like how it balances between strings and winds, very well done. I also like the pause in the middle, it's a great breather. Overall really nice solid take on the source. It could stand to add more variety, in the addition of instruments, as well as expansion, but the idea was lovely. Great job here!

Ok I'll give some thoughts to what i heard for this round. Souperion - Great mix of orchestral and synths, love the way it flows too. It's a bit conflicting for me, i could maybe have more of a straight forward electronic beat, like techno, or if not, explore more of the orchestra more. However though, i love the choir and strings, it's soooo good. Tempo change was also a nice addition. Great job! Dex - I like the synths more than i like the guitars. I mean don't get me wrong, the whole thing is really nicely done, but the guitars took away the atmospheric part of the source for me. As a whole though, you sold me a rather well mixed rock experience. Great job! Trism - It's a very minimalistic experience, and for this idea it works well. If i have to be honest, the drums don't come into until half-way and the melody is repeated a lot, something to bare in mind. Maybe add a little more for me, but as a whole super nicely done! Wassup Thunder - Never though an orchestral remix would work super well! I think in terms of style, it's amazing, however i am a sucker for electronic instruments, and even though it wasn't needed to sound good, you could combine the two, and make a synth orchestra hybrid, but that's just me. Also be weary of your levels, there are moments where it can get a little heavy. Still though, awesome take on this, great job! Sorry i missed voting, i was getting ready for christmas.
