  1. Looking for this soundtrack on vgz to rip the instruments https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunting_(video_game)
  2. I always like this tune during the holidays. Nice pick, yo!
  3. I shortened it, arranged a few things, complete overhaul on sound design and mixing. I intend to make a few small changes. Here's what it sounds like now https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/958152 And if anyone is curious, here is the one from last year (the one that got rejected) https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/880226 Cocks
  4. I think I'll throw in my hat this year with some 16-bit era chip music.
  5. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/936547 I added a little bit of extra stuff just to fill the sound space. Tons of MIDI editing done as well. I used all Sonic 3 sound driver instruments here, but opted for 80s style drum samples because I thought they would sound better.
  6. You know, I liked Trism's mix the best, but I voted for TheVideoGamer's mix as first place because I felt that it more closely met what MnP is about. Both fantastic tracks, though. The bonus tracks were great as well.
  7. SEGA Genesis chip music. Key: C# minor https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/930708 Melodic trap. Key: F# minor https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/930941 Take your pick.
  8. Dude... You know most of these source tunes are from classic era Sonic games, right? That being said, I recently remixed (and submitted) Flying Battery Zone (originally from Sonic & Knuckles), and I have a WIP of Lava Reef Zone (both acts) sitting around somewhere. Here's the Flying Battery Zone remix. Melodic trap /EDM style. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/880226
  9. What kind of style do you seek? Are you going fully modern? Or are you looking to give it just a slight upgrade? By slight upgrade I mean like maybe a slightly newer console than Amiga. If you were thinking to go full 16-bit console style, I'd be your guy, so long as I could find a decent source. VGM/VGZ or MIDI formats would be something I could use. Here's why I'd be the guy for that https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/926256 https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/925873 https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/923416 https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/92390
  10. There are only two tracks I can choose... I would think there would be more participation with all the quarantines going on. By the way, I cast my vote. Both submissions were fantastic, thanks for the ear candy, guys!
  11. The Colony Level from 3D Ultra Pinball https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/926256 Castle Theme from Super Mario World https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/927197 Power Rangers theme song https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/927280
  12. Question: is there a preferred sample rate for the output wav file? I use 44.1kHz.
  13. I think I'll go in on this one. Kirby be having some nice tunes, and this one is no exception.
  14. I'm updating this with several collaborative works. All of these were initially written by swosp, and what you hear in all of these tracks contain varying degrees of alterations to the original composition. The first one is kinda vaporwave and utilizes the Sonic 3 sound driver. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/927801 Next, I kinda just played with the sounds until I found something that sounded just right to me. Also kinda mellow, but not as mellow as the first one in this reply. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/925873 Next is some of the heavier
  15. Hmmm... https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/927197 Should I mix it up like a full OC ReMix rearrangement, but keep the sound on the SEGA Genesis sound chip? I'm thinking yes.
  16. I've decided to not keep making a new thread every time I post new SEGA Genesis music. Instead, I'll throw it all in this thread from this point going forward. I'll throw this up first. It's a collab: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/925068
  17. This is really more of a shitpoast than a serious remix https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/925412 Enjoy!
  18. Entry Submitted! I told you I was going in on this joint!
  19. Hey, just a quick note, if you use Reason, you can get RYM2612 as actual hardware. I suppose you would need a MIDI keyboard to use it, though. Inphonik (the developer) is very attentive to user feedback and questions, if you have any. They're based in France, keep that in mind as far as time zones go.
  20. Thank you very much for the replies. Actually, it's as close to the sound chip as one can possibly get in any DAW. If you're interested in doing this, RYM2612 is what I use for the FM sounds. Plogue's chipsounds plugin serves for the SN76489 (PSG) channels, so long as you set it to the 3.58MHz mode. Both are paid plugins, but imo both worth it. Especially RYM2612. AlyJamesLab's SN76489 plugin may be a viable alternative, as it costs much less. Here are the links to that stuff: https://www.inphonik.com/products/rym2612-iconic-fm-synthesizer/ https://www.plogue.com/products/c
  21. Welcome. Don't eat any food anyone here offers to you. I be on that SEGA Genesis time as well, but on a different level. Hear, here: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/923416 https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/923901 Both SEGA Genesis music.
  22. Eh, screw it. My vote won't change where anyone placed. Dex's mix really did kick ass...
