Yeah, I probably shouldn't be trying to do sound mastery through my headphones. Oddly enough, it seems to sound better on a single speaker output vs stereo (tablet/phone).
Unfortunately, I don't have the best sound equipment when it comes to that, as I'm using my Logitech G355 headset, and the Z313 speakers with woofer.
I wouldn't mind collaborating with someone better than I am at this, as I told another seasoned ReMixer that I have no formal training when it comes to this stuff, and I just put things together I think sound well.
I definitely appreciate the critiques, as I know I'll eventually get better at this - one day.

Still haven't beat this game...I will one day.

I did a live stream of me creating this last night, was up until 4am, haha.

Awesome walkthrough! It's been ages since I've used the BBS style posting format, so I'm trying to re-learn how all of this works, again. haha.

Evaluation: VMPYR KILLA
Ok, for the vast majority of the track this feels incomplete.
0:00-0:36 we get Vampire Killer with the prologue dialogue from SotN on top of it. Drums are different from the original but the rest is nearly identical to the source.
0:37-3:02 it's a two part track now, only drums and bass. This may be the same bass as the source as well. There should be more parts going on here, there's no melody, no harmony (only implied harmony from the bass).
3:03-4:19 we get the melody and bass from the source with added percussion.About 55% of the track feels unfinished because it's only two parts, need to fill in that space with something. To be honest, it felt like someone would be rapping on top of that section or doing something similar to that.
Fade outs are generally discouraged. They rarely work and often just leave the listener wanting more. This time it is unfulfilling.
What I would encourage you to do is fill in the space and add your own take on the source. What we have here is very conservative, when we do get the source; it's same melody and bass with added original drums. I do like the instrumentation you have chosen so far and this could develop into a very cool track when you add your own spices to the track.
Good luck.
Understood. I thought about that, and felt it needed something else. Thank you for your detailed critque!

I apologize about that - I'll remember that for future evaluating. VMPYR KILLA, please.

Here's a bunch of tracks I've remixed over the years.
Looking back on this, I can say I got progressively better - but would love to hear a critique or 2. Have at you!

If you know a better way than I can share my art, I'm all ears.

Ah, that explains a lot. Never got a reasonable number of hits there. Same on Reddit, which is why I even forgot to mention it in my previous reply.
Yeah - as for Reddit, we didn't get along, so I let it be. I feel satisfaction getting organic hits from people just discovering my stuff out of happenstance anyway. I just singed up here a few days ago, yet, I've had my YT channel for 17 years...lol

Mainly Youtube for me. Soundcloud is nice if you know how to use the tags in your favor.

I had a blast with this one - even if I had hard time making out all the sounds form the original.

Sounds sweet!
Thanks!
Fun fact: never played the game and two days ago was the first time I've heard this soundtrack.

Hi all - people have been asking me to make an account here, so here I am.
Let me know what you think of my latest remix.

Just wanted to share another cover of mine.
I didn't know what I was signing up for when I originally joined this community, but I know for certain I'm not OCR music artist material - and I'm totally fine with that. I just like remixing tunes that catch my ear. I'm no pro at doing full-on arrangements, as I don't understand music to that extent. Maybe one day someone can give me a breakdown on how to do a good arrangement.
Actual graphical art on the other hand, that's totally my thing.
I still enjoy the feedback.
