I've only listened through the album once, but I like what I hear so far. However, I was disappointed to hear Tetanus and Dance of the Zinger omit certain parts of the originals: Tetanus didn't have that one cool beep-like sounding rhythm, and Zinger didn't have the backround drums of the original. Of course, it's entirely possible that I missed these. They're still great songs, though!
yep you missed it, because it's all over the place, the synth bass and the percussion are playing it...so it's more of a rhythm based thing rather then a filter swept synth. so yeah i kept the rhythm of it, dropped the pitched part of it.

Both 1:56 and 2:03 in Gray's song are a brass swell. 5:11 is not the same crescendo, it's a choir ascending in pitch and intensity.
the brass also have a rip on the end as well.

the metal release on the end is from reverb on the metal percussion methinks...
i think this is like one of those air raid sirens.

I would like to buy this, i've been considering getting kontakt 4 recently which this has included...so this is a great deal for me.

this is a ram issue, i can think of two possibilities:
1. You actually have used up all or nearly all of your ram with samples.
2. Your ram is bad or is not all being recognized.

I'm going to learn how to do more with expression and volume automation, but I didn't do any of that here.
If you're not going to do these it's not going to sound real at all, realistic performance is all about the details. automation will make things sound much more realistic.
2 other things, attacks of choir and strings are way slow and make them sound unnatural too. regular humanization of velocities and where the notes actually fall on the beat will help with a real sound.
this song is really lacking bass in general too, you have a low string part but it's not very present.

The only rule I set when I started this project was that I didn't want any Chocobo Raps, or any kind of raps. If vocals were attempted, they'd have to be very well done, tasteful, and preferably T-rated (like the game).
You never said that to me when i started.
what if i said i had vocals in my mix?

two things i made that have shreddage in it.
1st is more guitar based (with groove bias), 2nd has it as a cleaner sound and backing.

It is GREAT ! I love it ! You just should add "Donkey Kong Country 2 - Serious Monkey Business - An OverClocked ReMix album" or something like that like on other OCRA covers.

As to your thought of it needs more: go check out my artwork from the first DKC project, it'd be cool if you did something related. My suggestion, make the text more like fresh paint where it's dripping or add banana peels hanging out of the box slats.

Seriously, they went way overboard with Zephyr. Why would anyone pick Enigma over Zephyr when Zephyr's ult is 50 times as strong combined with his other skills.
and when you can push the entire team into the ult too
