HOLY WOW
no wonder i recognized that, Rite of Spring mvmts 1 and 2, props to you.
fun listens all around.

congrats Matt

i swore within the first few seconds i swore i was going to hear this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU
i think i felt that because of the synth toms and the synth brass, which do sound very similar, not a bad thing just totally made me laugh. i half expected to hear, "we're no strangers to love" come in.
everything sounds great production wise, and kinda gives me the feel of waverace with the arppegiating synth that comes in every once in a while.
i wish i could comment on the arrangement but i'm not rememebering the original right now.
i certainly enjoyed.

Polo, stop cheating for other people, revealing on the boards is not cool man...this was a problem on vgmq before the designer changed the system as to prevent cheating like this.
-
I got 23 of 50 46%.
the ones i got were: 3,5,7-10,13,14,17,18,20,22-24,26,28,33,35,39,42,45,48 and 49.
to whoever made this: 42 is supposed to be one word not 2.
and to anyone who likes this kinda thing: http://vgmq.garoux.net/
^much harder more variety, and less chance of cheating occuring. CHz and I have been going at vgmq since it opened...can be quite a challenge at times.

Completely forgot about this. What does Hemophiliac use? I just today remembered his track from Kong in Concert and it sounds realistic enough for me.
well i hadn't listened to this in a really long time because i don't really think i did a good job on that at all. those were all samples in the KiC track.
i did however get another arrangement of mine recorded live...
http://www.vgmix.com/members/156/audio.php <-Real, despite a site read and trumpets not being entirely together. that's reality for you.

yeah take out the lead guitar and they've done it before, also the arrangements of them are more akin to the "Nazo2(supposed to be squared)project"
though the very last part of it i don't recall, so maybe one part of many?
it's cool that they're doing it, it's honestly my favorite segment and only saw that segment once (out of seeing the show 3 times now). i just wish more of the show was changed up.
-
they did castlevania at the first vgl in hollywood.
also i have to blame the speaker blow out on Steve Vai, for plugging his guitar in with everything turned up.
also at the last one in LA, Solid Snake broke the frogger game.
-
I went to the Fort Wayne, Indiana show. They had some technical difficulties prop up from time to time (and claimed that in 40 shows they had never had any...).
They closed with the standard OWA, and then came back out for a rocking Castlevania encore. At the meet and greet, they said that it was the first time that they had done it on tour. Let me know if they still do it.
they blew out speakers at the very first VGL in Hollywood.
also first time they did what, OWA or Castlevania?
-
i'm out, both sources are no melody tracks.

Before he fell off the net, the late, great former judge Graylightning seemed to be making progress in that direction. If I remember correctly (and I may not be ), he had started working at a music studio about the time I lost track of him.
Can anyone confirm that? It's been awhile.
yes he was working at a studio as a sort of technicology consultant/tech engineer. then he moved to somewhere in the middle of nowhere becuase of working in Nashville i believe.
he really should update everyone someday.

happy birthday bro!
you'll always kick my ass at vgmq and keep up the good j work too!

After a bit of diliberation, i decided an under-appreciated Yuzo Koshiro game should be represented here. That game would be Super Adventure Island

i don't suppose people are going to learn that you can't direct link to vgmusic.
-
Happy birthday Scott
enjoy your lying cake
-
for the people who make challenges, it'll be better for them to post a midi as well, because the odds of something getting made are higher.

nice work chumble spuzz.

"Kick my Axe" with a guitar next to it.
"NoFleshAllowed" That's right your epidermis is showing.
"A Clockwork Vampire" And A Wind-Up Pianist
"Enter the Frog" and just have a little frog next to it.
"Hydrophone Breakdown" it just sounds cool.
"ItsDifficulttoStandWhenYoureonAcid"
"Bowswer is Pissed" and "Mario Likes Thorazine" both good mario candidates.
"Neighburgers" they're tasty!
nothing really spectacular, just a few simple ideas came up with while looking through the songlists.
-
iirc the medlies in there are not the same medlies used in concert at VGL.
they have parts missing from them, not instrument parts just segments of pieces.
they're cool though, take this post with a grain of salt please.

Just curious ... the word "challenges" makes me think there is going to be more to it than just a game or a song, but that's all you mention. You're not going to let people say like .. a song name, and then a genre or something like that are you? I mean, I'd probably do it (shitty like), but that would be pretty tough. Especially when everyone picks a song and the "death metal" genre.
fortunately that's not how the compo works...all it means is a challenge is a song to be remixed, the remixers will be recieving a source to arrange at random....that's all.
