I got mine for $750. There's no way I would have paid $1499 for this thing retail, heh. I think it's $1399 now, but still. That's a good price that you paid too.

Nope, it's the LC-C3242U. 720p/1080i, 2 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, 2 composite inputs, VGA input, stereo audio out, digital audio out, RF/coaxial input.
Oh ok I have the LC-32GP1u. We had a big discount at work by ordering through Sharp directly(50% actually), and I've always wanted to get an HDTV so I jumped all over this. It was cool that it just happened to be a "gamers" TV since it has DVI(I use this as a monitor too) and 3 HDMI inputs. It's also the only 32" TV that is 1080p that I know of.
Can't wait to play my 360 on this though.

Unfortunately I can't watch those new metroid videos because my wifi connection is down. From the sounds of it, they seem very interesting. Damn, I hate being with out wifi.

Also, if they wanted to make it a "Halo competitor", then it would have multiplayer. I don't know why you're worried though. Retro Studies wouldn't just go and do that to a Metroid game after all they've done with Prime 1 and 2.

HD is one of those things you notice even if an SD and HD set are not side by side. Everything is just so crisp and clean and sharp. I got a 32" Aquos a couple months ago; I don't think I can ever go back.
By the way, the BioShock demo is so fucking hot.
You didn't happen to get the 32GP1U did you?

Just shell out the $20 for the Classic Controller. It's very much worth it for many many games (including, I guarantee, Super Metroid).
I'll second this. You can also control the cursor on your Wii with the CC too lol. The controller is pretty damn comfortable too.

The only reason I hate Prime 2 is because I was going for the 100% log book, and only after I've saved in the Ing mothership or whatever do I discover that I missed the scans for the keyholes or whatever before unlocking thing. Damn did that piss me off, because I'd gotten everything else up to that point.
I did the same thing in Prime 1. Totally forgot the Ice Shriek Bat, haha. Didn't even realize it until nearly the end of the game.

You know, Metroid Prime was a great game, and it was probably one of my favorite games of all time. But Prime 2 was also a great game, and I think it was WAY underrated. A lot of people talk about how bad it was compared to the first one and while it wasn't AS good, I don't see how you couldn't even have the patience to finish it.
I guess some people just don't like a challenge
j/k I think a lot of people just hate backtracking.Also, I just thought about something. Since Retro was able to implement the Screw Attack and wall jumping in MP2, I wonder if we'll maybe see the Speed Booster in MP3? That'd be pretty cool to see, but they'll probably make it so we'd have to make a running motion with the Wii Controller/Nunchuck if they did.

What Nintendo needs to do is just have a VC channel where you select your games instead of them just being everywhere.

I like the fact that they've added Samus interacting with other characters. Should make the game a bit less lonely.
But she's supposed to be the lone bounty hunter though :[ I must admit though, I almost got pissed off when I heard the woman's voice in the first video. I almost thought they gave Samus a voice, so I had to turn up the volume a little bit to hear what she was saying haha.

Those 2 videos weren't that impressive to me. I like metroid, i beat prime and own 2, but I'm just not sure i want to get corruption. What's so new and exciting about this one besides the control scheme and the dark samus thing?
Probably just a better game overall. Plus, we get to finally see the end of the Prime series.
