  1. Sounds interesting, after ORC and TOMC/CMC I don't think there's an original remix competition so it would be a good addition. If you do it like PRC, so with a one week remix stage and a voting stage after that, I suggest to allign it with the PRC schedule (to not have the remixing deadlines close to each other).
  2. Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. This round has 4 songs. To vote, do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen. - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. - State a reasoning for it. - Participants are encouraged to vote. They cannot vote for themselve, but they get a free first place bonus if they vote. Also non participants are encouraged to vote and leave comments. Last round winner, FreakyT has a vote that counts twice. DrumJ8 has not a double vote since he entered the contest. Sggod89/TrollingOrSerious are allowed to vote once. Then both songs get an additional first place, he only needs to fill in the first two boxes (resulting in 3 songs getting 3 points and 1 song getting 2 points). You have until THIS Wednesday, February 20th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner gets the right to choose the source tune for PRC239. The songs: Check the ThaSauce Page:
  3. I'm thinking about a voting rule for this situation since this is not described in the rules. Probably you get a first place for both songs and fill in first and second place only (resulting in that 3 songs get 3 points and 1 song only 2), but I'm not sure about it yet since it gives you an high advantage. I'll announce it when voting starts.
  4. The source is the boss battle. After each level (Snake, Spark, Gemini, Needle, Shadow, Hard, Top, Magnet) there's a battle with the miniboss. The source of this battle is the source of the Boss Crap song. I think it's the best to add it after the Needle Man stage and before Get Equipped With Strobe Light. The only MM3 song Disco Dan didn't remix so far (as I know) is the final boss battle song.
  5. The People's Remix Competition 238 PRCv10-04 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! 5 Remixers entered last round. The source was Mega Man 7's Burst Man. At the end, piano man entered the burst man level and beated the boss since both DrumJ8 and FreakyT won the contest with a piano song. This meeans two sources for this round. Source 1: Sonic Knuckles Chaotix! (SEGA 32X) - Speed of Sound MIDI Game Wiki Source 2: Star Ocean 3 (PS2) - Cutting Edge of Notion (Battle Theme) MIDI Wiki ThaSauce link: Click here to submit. GOOD LUCK! Two sources this time because last round had two winners. As usual, you only have to remix one of these songs, but remixing both in one song is encouraged. DrumJ8 can take part by remixing FreakyT's source and FreakyT can take part in the contest by remixing DrumJ8's source. PRC instructions Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes). If anyone has problems with uploading songs to ThaSauce let me know (in this thread) and post a download link to your song in this thread (so I can upload it to ThaSauce). Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by MONDAY February 18th 2013 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time: check my signature (below) or the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can post it in the thread if that doesn't work. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC239. Doulifee's PRC Archives! 6. It's results time. Total number of mixes - 5 Total number of votes - 7 Maximum Score - 24. Marcusg scored 1 point and gets the last place wooden spoon. MCR got three first place votes, but he didn't score any other points, his 9 points bring him at fourth place. Trism scored 11 points, worth a third place. And the winners of PRC236 are FreakyT and DrumJ8 with 18 points. Congratulations FreakyT and DrumJ8. Both songs scored 18 points and got a vote from everyone. Piano Man beats Burst Man FreakyT and DrumJ8, both of you may select one source for the next round. Send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). You may select any source from any game, as long as it doesn't have an Overclocked Remix and it hasn't been on PRC before. Check it at the list: http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). Send your source as fast as you can, but before this Friday, 8th of February 2013. You can find the votes with comments here: http://compo.thasauce.net/votes/index/PRC237

Last round winner, Sir Nuts, has a vote that counts twice. You have until THIS Wednesday, February 6th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner gets the right to choose the source tune for PRC238. The songs: Check the ThaSauce Page:
  8. It's weird, but I cannot download the song. I think something went wrong because it's only 4KB. Playing the song at ThaSauce also doesn't work. Please try to reupload the song. If that doesn't work upload it somewhere else and post a download link in this thread.
  9. Absolutely, everyone is encouraged to vote. The more, the better (as long as the voters base their votes on the songs and not on other thinks (like I vote for Sir Nuts because I like the song Introduction to Heaven which he did back in 2004 (or something) so much, and I like the style he uses). The rules pointed out by DarkeSword http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=40864 apply, but that should not be a problem. If you vote like you did last round that's fine. So yes, you are allowed (I vote every round as well )
  10. There was a PRC of that tune as well. The best PRC ever, PRC26: http://doulifee.com/prc/PrcSong/prc.php?prcid=26 Trenthian's song was submitted a while after the contest (in 2006) to OCR.
  11. I have checked (and updated) the list. I added a row in which is mentioned whether the song is from Vgmix or not. Only if I am for 100% sure that the song is from Vgmix it has the Vgmix label. 110 Songs it are (a few from Vgmix 1 as well). Some of these are already in the Archive, others are not. I'll see if I can put those in a download link (at least the ones who are not in the Archive) later.
  12. My collection seems to contain a couple of songs which are not on this torrent. I'm currently downloading the torrent (didn't realize this was up before) but it's not downloading anything (there are not enough seeders at the moment, I think). There's one problem with adding these songs to that torrent. This torrent only contains song from Vgmix. My list contains all VG stuff I have somewhere and this is not only from Vgmix. It contains stuff from OC Remix, the WIP forum of OC Remix, Vgmix and many other sites. They are not even all VG Remixes (for example it contains a remix from Delerium - Silence by FF Music DJ). I do have a good memmory, so I'll see if I can check out where these songs from, but of course I might be wrong.
  13. Maybe in one of the special PRC's. In PRC200 Ice Cap has been remixed because it is one of the most remixed songs ever. PRC250 is only 26 weeks away, so who knows...
  14. I still have some old VG Mix songs. In this list below they are listed. The list also contains OC Remixes and some WIP versions. The Song Name, Artist and Game (abbreviated) are listed and it might contains some mistakes. It's uploaded to my site. http://www.freewebs.com/bundeslang/VG%20Songs.xlsx I have all these songs somewhere, most of them likely are on old CD's. So if anyone wants some of the songs I'll try to upload them somewhere, but it might take some time.
  15. The People's Remix Competition 237 PRCv10-03 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Last round was amazing with 8 songs and 11 voters. All remixers voted for the round and it was a requirement for almost all of them to end at the position they ended. Sir NutS got the most votes, Garpocalypse claimed second place and Yami took third place. Source: Mega Man 7 (SNES) - Burst Man MIDI Wiki ThaSauce link: Click here to submit. GOOD LUCK! PRC instructions Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes). 16. It's results time. Total number of mixes - 8 Total number of votes - 11 Maximum Score - 36. OneUp submitted a bonus mix. DrumJ8 gets the last place wooden spoon, but the three points he got by voting are well deserved. Esperado got 10 points, but ends at the sixth place. Trism and FreakyT tied with 11 points at fourth place. Yami was close for the first place for a while, but ends at 16 points and third place. Garpocalypse did a good job as well, his 18 points are worth the second place. And the winner of PRC236 is Sir Nuts with 24 points. Congratulations Sir Nuts. During the voting stage Yami and Garpocalypses came really close, but at the end they couldn't stop you for winning this one. I'm very happy with 8 songs and 11 votes. Nobody forgot to take his 3 point bonus!! Sir Nuts, send your source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). 17. It's an awesome game with awesome songs (I even play it sometimes nowadays). I would like to some remixes of those.
  18. Welcome to the voting stage The mixing stage is over. Last round had two sources and two songs. This round, 7 songs and 1 Bonus Mix are submitted. To vote, do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen. - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to third. Do not vote for OneUp's song because that one is a Bonus Mix (as last rounds winner). You are free to leave some comments on that song in your vote as well. - State a reasoning for it. - Participants are encouraged to vote. They cannot vote for themselve, but they get a free first place bonus if they vote. Last round winner, OneUp, has a vote that counts twice. You have until THIS Wednesday, January 23th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time to vote, check my signature in the first post or simply the ThaSauce page for the exact time you have. The winner gets the right to choose the source tune for PRC237. The songs: Check the ThaSauce Page:
  19. 7 Songs are up (1 bonus) which means there's no need for an extention. So for those who are still working on a song, make sure to upload it on time.
  20. Four songs up already. I'm looking forward to see even more songs (and a hard voting) coming up. I posted some statistics last round, but looking at the Hall of Fame of PRC (List of Remixers who won the most PRC's), the top list is as follows: 17 Wins: Rexy 15 Wins: OneUp 13 Wins: Sir Nuts 11 Wins: Sggod89 10 Wins: The Orchicalcon 8 Wins: Bladiator, Hylian Lemon and Showroom Dummy 6 Wins: Chickenwarlord and Ichitootah So OneUp is coming closer to Rexy, after winning last PRC he's only two victories away. Sir Nuts isn't far off and he entered this round...
  21. Anyway, here's the link to that Boss Battle Remix: http://www.freewebs.com/bundeslang/Disco%20Dan%20-%20Boss%20Crap%20(Mega%20Man%203).mp3
  22. I have a song called "Boss Crap" or something like that, which is a remix from the Boss theme of MM3. I'll upload it later if it isn't up already.
  23. The People's Remix Competition 236 PRCv10-02 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Last round OneUp and Esperado challenged each other. Both got a first place vote, but the double vote of Garpocalypse decided that OneUp won the round. He selected the source for this round.
