I've been working for an afterschool program for quite a while now, and I've always used vg music during their homework time as an atmosphere setter. It has worked very well and I'm looking to expand it further. This is what I have so far and kind of what i'm looking for. These are all looped to some degree and the setlists last about an hour. HW Chrono (all Chrono Cross songs) Sailing Another World Arni Village Home Arni Village Another Guldove Village Home Guldove Village Another At the Shore of Dreams Another World HW Symphonia (all Tales of Symphonia songs) Desert Flower Water Symphony Moonlight The Kingdom City of Meltokio Dry Trail Forest of Treant Those are my complete playlists and we alternate inbetween them. I've been messing around with the Aquaria album (after that awesome sale!) but those songs aren't really doing it for me. I've looped a handful of FF tracks, Mario Galaxy, Secret of Mana (Aether remixes), but I'm having hard time fitting them together in a way that sets a consistent atmosphere. My question to this awesome community is are there any OSTs you can think of that I might be able to pull 6 or so songs from? I'm not afraid to import if I know the music is good. What about some OCRemix songs you feel are peaceful? Yesterday for example I downloaded Drakken's Above the Clouds and looped the intro a few times. Here's two of my incomplete sets I'm working on. FF9 based setlist Passing Sorrow The Place I'll Return to Someday Frontier Village Dali Awakened Forest SMG and Above the Clouds Above the Clouds Rosetta's Comet Observatory (SMG) Stardust Road (SMG) Also, I'm trying to avoid dramatic dynamic swings and heavy percussion. It's distracting when the students are suddenly blown away by some sweeping string build up. The percussion causes them to tap on their desks (probably because I teach them percussion on Fridays...) Any help would be great!

Thanks guys. I'm familiar with Audacity so that shouldn't be a problem after a few minutes of relearning. Mixing and arranging, while something I've always wanted to do, is definately not something I have time for at the moment. Anyways, this community is still awesome.

I've been working as an afterschool teacher for the last 3 years, and during the hour I help with homework we're supposed to have music playing. I've been using various VG OSTs to help fill this up (Chrono Cross, Tales of Symphonia, FF music, etc...). I usually use town themes and forest songs. I was wondering if anyone had a good technique for extending these songs. As you all know most vg music is about a 2 minute song playing on a loop. Does anyone have a way to maybe play that loop 3-4 times without causing any break? It would extend the amount of playlists we use, and help keep a steady atmosphere in the classroom.

So I saw this on IGN last night and thought it was pretty cool. I actually invested in rockband so, sucks for me lol. There's a good chance the song creator will fall short of expectations, but the idea is there. Competition from the guitar hero and rock band franchise will most likely boost the quality of a song creator over the years. I thought of all the tracks from the remix community that i'd love to try to work into the game. Ailsean-drugstore sells sparks and housethegrate-hydrocity pop in my head. Anything from castlevania... http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/882/882888p3.html Depending on the tools they give us. I'm hoping some of you guys will make some awesome tracks for me to play

You know I feel like i'm the only one that hasn't had any problems with the brush strokes. Maybe it's because i've played a lot of pointer heavy games? The only problem i think i've had is with the blossom stroke not working. I'll get a sun instead, or it just wont work. With the power slash i usually just do a quick flick to the left and it works every time. Though i'll admit I do get annoyed when the sensor bar goes haywire and starts jumping left and right. It always happens during some intense moment in a boss battle... Oh and I second Imagerys widescreen progressive scan argument. This game is beautiful.

If it's a tourney then items need to be off. Tournament play is all about competition. Random element shouldn't really be a factor. But if i'm playing casual it needs to be a 4 player match with pretty much all items on. I get lamed by items and final smashes ALL the time when I play with my friends. But you know that's just the fun. It's down to the wire. Only two men left standing. A smart bomb drops, explodes on my face, and i go flying off the stage without a chance. Beautiful. I love it lol. I'll laugh along with everyone else. To me, smash bros without items is like mario kart without items. Not really fun anymore.

Me and my friend found that Lucas' pk thunder is great for bosses. Taboo is still a pain, but not as bad.

I can't find random people to play with. So i thought i'd see if you guys were doing wifi yet. Anyone up for some casual brawlin? I'll go throw my FC in the database.

I always thought the vampire legend came from the fact that our ansestors used to cannibalize each other. And I mean this goes back like 800,000 years. Before we were even human yet. So it had a long time to become part of peoples nature. But it makes sense. There's not just one vampire legend. There's many. It didn't originate from some supernatural events. Probably just that people got hungry, and ate each other. But back to the movie. I watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. I will agree with everyone else when they say Will has been doing a good job in movies. He constantly shows his versatility. So yeah... recommended.

I prefer ITG2 simply because of the fact I can play whatever stepfiles are out there. It really adds a lot to the game when you have a pretty much infinate amount of songs to choose from. My only problem is finding people who make doubes charts. I suppose I could do it myself, but I spend WAY too much time creating stepfiles. Enough time to where it's not even worth it.

Same percent as running into one... Oh well, i'm not going to do anything else until I get one. I'll just open it up and run around when i'm bored. That's something I could do while watching TV or a Movie or whatever. Does anyone have a shroomish they'd be willing to trade? I just found out it can know a combination of false swipe, spore, and stun spore. Thought it would be nice to have the ultimate pokemon catching pokemon around. -

I don't know if any of you saw this last night or are going to see it today, but I didn't like as much as I wanted to. I dunno... I needed more Venom badassery. There was this problem where every time I was watching Eddie Brook I saw Eric Forman. Anyone else?

Gotta catch that chansey man. It's held by the chansey. I don't know where you find it in these versions but i'm assuming the saffari zone. And we all know how fun that place is... I remember back in the red and blue days spending all day fishing for a dratini. Too bad i didn't realize that dragon/fly is a LAME duel type. After spending all that time xping it too. Those dragon pokemon will sure eat those experience points like no tommorrow. -

You know what it was then. I think I got hit with grass knot is why i'm thinking that. It's based on the weight of the pokemon and well, my empoleon is a fat ass... I didn't look up anything really while I was playing. I was pretty suprised with the water/steel evolution. I was impressed with the design on the grass starters final form too. Nothing like a big tree growing out the side of your back. Reminds me of venusaur. Memories. -

I've noticed that my starter doesn't really take a lot of damage. I haven't taken the time to look up it's weaknesses exactly but I don't often get nailed. Only eletric and fighting seem to really do anything. I supposed grass does too. But I've always had a strong flying move on him so they've never really got the chance to hit me with grass. Gotta love how drill peck sounds like a machine gun. Have you guys seen hyper beam yet? Pretty intense. -

Sweet I guess I need to get on the IRC. Usually I lose interest in pokemon games simply because I get bored of trying to raise lvl 100 EVERYTHING. That or my friends get bored and there's no one left to play with. We've beeng waiting for this internet crap for a looooong time. Better find that surfing pickachu for some cup battles... Better finish this paper that's due tommorrow morning...... -

Traded the lucky egg!? Oh MAN that sucks. I guess the person who got it is lucky... Anyway I was thinking. Would anyone be interested in setting up cup battles? I don't remeber what they were called. Back in the day with pokemon stadium they had cups where you were limited by level. I thought this would be cool because it doesn't really take all that long to set up a level 25 team. That and you don't get to battle against people with lower level pokemon that much. Anyone in? -

Lucky egg is a held item that doubles the amount of xp recived. Couple that with exp share and you've got yourself an easy way to build levels. I'm doing e4 right now with the 88 empleon. Pretty much cake so far. I'm on the pyschic guy. A couple of his pokemon aren't being 1 hitted, so I guess the champ might use up some PP. -

Does anyone do the thing where you just take down every gym and the elite 4 with one pokemon? I don't even like to set up teams until i've completed the game. I'm starting victory road today with a 76 empoleon. Also...anyone got that lucky egg yet? Man that would make xping a breeze. -
lol you can't just TRY max doubles. You have to start like you're beginning again. You'll progress way faster but you have to learn the crossovers. I love crossovers, and doubles wins hands down.

To you guys who don't like ITG you don't really have to worry because there wont be an ITG anymore. Konami sued them and they now own the rights to ITG. I guess Roxor is now working on a pump it up style game instead. But here's why I like ITG more then DDR. They have what's called the r21 patch which basically lets you load stepfiles from SM into the arcade machine and play what ever you like. I was just deciding whether or not I was going to to make some doubles steps for my AE's Windshear remix stepfile when I saw this topic. The only downside is that you have to get your local arcade operator to preform this update. While you're at it ask them to turn the option to play doubles for 75 cents on. Which is a default setting by the way. You do this by telling them people would be spending a lot more money there, and would actually travel to use these options. EDIT: To the guy who was wondering the difference between ITG and DDR. There is none except for a few tweaks. In ITG the songs are a bit longer, there's far more options, and a handful of the songs take a step up on difficulty. There's also some crazy marathon modes where they mix mods and throw them at you. The syncing is tightened up too. Some guys got together and said hey, what can we do to make DDR even better. And they did, and now they're gone. Sucks cause I was looking forward to there being heavy competition between ITG and DDR. We could have gotten some great games. Now all we'll ever get is whatever new off sync song list bemani decides to throw our way. But anyways... Any of you play doubles?

thank god for you anne
