  1. What makes you think it's off? Have you checked recently?
  2. Speaking of which, I just bumped the waiting for players time back down to the default.
  3. OK, unloading a few plugins didn't fix the problem. I've now unloaded all plugins and extensions that aren't shipped with SourceMod itself. This has the unfortunate side-effect of disabling most weapon stat logging. In addition, I'm forcing the TF2 server to update itself and verify its game files.
  4. So, tomorrow I'm going to be going through and disabling some extensions and plugins to see if that fixes the lag issue. Or tonight if the server population continues to drop.
  5. Well, the recent slowdowns have one issue that makes me think it's a software issue: RED still shows up in the server list (while BLU stops responding). These are two servers on the same machine.
  6. FireSlash was looking into that the other day (and managed to crash the server once while doing so. Whoops.) I don't think he found out anything. I suppose what we could do is remove plugins one by one to see what's causing problems.
  7. The first dustbowl was rtved to from coldfront. I know this because I was checking whom was on using HLStatsX and saw it switch to from coldfront to dustbowl on a page refresh. As you can see from the mapcycle I posted earlier, rtving from coldfront to dustbowl would make the map cycle: cp_coldfront_rc3 cp_dustbowl -- inserted to the mapcycle using rtv cp_granary cp_nucleus cp_dustbowl -- the one that's always in the mapcycle etc...
  8. Since a month or two ago when we redid the nominate list based on maps people suggested in this thread (or was it the old thread...)
  9. Current map cycle, customs marked with a *: koth_viaduct cp_fastlane pl_goldrush cp_freight_final1 ctf_doublecross cp_gravelpit plr_pipeline cp_badlands cp_egypt_final pl_badwater *cp_coldfront_rc3 cp_granary koth_nucleus cp_dustbowl ctf_turbine pl_goldrush cp_gravelpit *pl_frontier cp_badlands cp_gorge pl_badwater cp_steel cp_granary The following custom maps are on the nominate list: arena_starship_v1 cp_coldfront_rc3 cp_follower cp_pacman_plus_wtf cp_vector_v1 cp_waste_v2 ctf_aerospace_b4 ctf_premuda_b1b ctf_vector_v1 pl_cave_b6 pl_cranetop_b8 pl_frontier pl_waste_v2 plr_nightfall_c plr_panic_b2 plr_scoville_c2 Note that all these files are bz2 files, you'll need something like 7zip to uncompress them. The game will only uncompress them automatically if it downloads them.
  10. OK, here's the list of things I've updated. SDKHooks to 1.3.1 SuperLogs: TF2 to 2.0.7 HLStatsX to 1.6.8 You can tell the stats are updated because it now lists awards for the new weapons, although they haven't been awarded to anyway because it wasn't tracking them before today. I restarted both servers after updating their logging plugins (SDKHooks is also needed for more accurate logging). For reference, I also looked up how the bronze, silver, and gold HLStatsX medals work. You need at least: Bronze - 1 Daily Award Silver - 5 Daily Awards Gold - 10 Daily Awards Edit: Certain awards are still missing images... looking through the FULL set (I used the UPGRADE set) to see if they images are there at all. Edit 2: Turns out there are no images for air rockets, air headshots, etc... awards.
  11. As long as they're using an enemy disguise, feature. You also don't see damage counters from hitting them with weapons. Looking at those stats... no wonder I have the Targe kills global. I did 2 in one map the other day (koth_nucleus), out of the 20 total on that list. Given that "globals" only seem to be for the last 30 days now... Reflected Flare Gun shots also don't do that much damage. On a side note, there still is no kill icon for Bleeding to death... it uses the environment kill (skull) icon. If no one is on mid-day tomorrow, I may pull the servers offline to update the stats packages. I need to update four things (logging plugin, HLStatsX plugin, HLStatsX stat collector program, and HLStatsX web interface), which sometimes causes issues if you don't upgrade them all at the same time. In theory, I can do the Logging plugin separately, but not the others.
  12. Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include: Team Fortress 2 Fixed the community submitted deathnotice icons for the community submitted weapons -- This shouldn't require a server restart, though. I'll update it anyway once I finish updating the L4D2 server. Edit: I just ran it on my backup server and it reported no changed files. Edit 2: Server updated, but I'm not going to restart it unless there are issues.
  13. Update finished a while ago, but the server is having tons of lag spikes tonight. I restarted the server, but personally I've had enough and called it quits for the night.
  14. 3 years and they still don't have decent mirrors for the dedicated server updaters. In other news, servers aren't updated yet. And by that, I mean they haven't even started updating yet.
  15. More like the Facestab God. Also: Required updates for Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source and Counter-Strike: Source Beta are now available. Please run hldsupdatetool to receive the update. 16. Well, if I keep up my current trend, it won't be long before it passes from Chili's hands into mine. I've gotten the daily award for it a few times in the past week, and globals appear to be solely based on the number of times you win the dailies. Incidentally, I've noticed I've been doing better with the Cloak and Dagger lately than the Dead Ringer, although I still switch back and forth. Edit: Whoops, I'm confusing my awards. I've been getting the Sapper awards a lot this week. Also, for what it's worth, I'm going to predict that Valve starts the Engineer update news either tonight or a week from today. There are four reasons for this: 1. Usually it's around 7 days out. 2. Valve's been releasing major game updates on Wednesdays to correspond with new Mac releases. 3. All the Valve games updated for Mac release so far have been Orange Box games. 4. Team Fortress 2's name on the Steam store is now "Team Fortress 2 (Mac coming soon)."

  18. A new version of HLStatsX:CE is out. I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to upgrade to it, though.
  19. Yes, he is paranoid. However, you can hear both footsteps and other sounds if you listen. Even the normal Spy decloak can be heard from some distance (let alone the Dead Ringer which is even louder). Also, Orange Box is currently on sale on Steam for $20.99 starting today, to celebrate Half-Life 2's (all 3 games) release on the Mac. In addition, HL2 is $6.99, and Ep1/Ep2 are $5.59 each. All 3 together are $18.17, only $2.82 cheaper than Orange Box. HL2 and Ep1 have new achievements, too!
  20. I actually don't play music, as I listen to the environment around me. So does this guy. It's how he gets all those Spy kills we complain about... he actually turns around when he hear footsteps behind him.
  21. If people would stop playing music all the damn time I wouldn't have to.
  22. Valve is apparently cosponsoring a TF2 weapon/hat design contest over at Polycount. TF2 Blog post about it. Contest page. Note that the "Winners" of this contest will basically appear in a future Valve community update... most likely sometime in late July (the contest ends at 12:00:01am June 28 ).
  23. This. It doesn't help that we don't really have a single, cohesive rule that all the admins enforce. I was actually talking with FireSlash about it a while back, but he's taking a short break from admin drama right now. Wait... with both FireSlash and Bahamut gone, that means... I'm in charge... MWAHAHAHAHAHA. (Seriously, though FireSlash is still around, just not doing admin stuff when he's not playing.)
  24. Yeah, whoops, I probably should have mentioned it here when I started the nomination topic. Whoops.
