  1. Delete the local copies of every file you find in this directory structure (but without the .bz2 at the end).
  2. I'm sorry, I had to. *sets that to his TF2 spray*
  3. I actually put the maps on the servers (including the mirror), but they're not yet on the maplist for either server. Also, the old server isn't gone yet?
  4. None of them appear on server #1, so you shouldn't worry about it!
  5. How can I put it nicely... no ability to reply directly to or quote posts sucks balls. No ability to subscribe to groups = sucks bigger balls. A dedicated forum under community has neither of these problems. Wait, don't you usually complain that we have too many customs on the server? And you want to add another 248MB of maps to the 938.3 MB we already have?
  6. That's assuming you've only got two players. You could just as easily have two people clearing out the zombies while the third revives the fourth.
  7. That's a good thing, Smoker in L4D1 is just about a one shot kill for everything but the kick.
  8. In other words, she's the exact opposite of the Boomer? (Actually, I'm better at Boomer than Hunter, so I can't say anything.)
  9. A Slight Clarification... posted by Shawn @ 08:41PM on November 13, 2009 Due to an ongoing debate in the office and online as to whether "12 AM" means noon or midnight (we're still sticking with midnight), it's been more challenging than we realized to tell people when exactly our game will be available. Factor in the Earth rotating around the sun, daylight savings time, some of our fans insisting on using the Mayan calendar, and we're just going to try and make this as specific as possible: When L4D2 will go live: Monday, November 16th, 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time Monday, November 16th, 10:00 PM Mountain Standard Time Monday, November 16th, 11:00 PM Central Standard Time Tuesday, November 17th, 12:00 AM (midnight) Eastern Standard Time Tuesday, November 17th, 5:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time Tuesday, November 17th, 8:00 AM Moscow Time Tuesday, November 17th, 2:00 PM Japan Standard Time
  10. Can't, sorry. If I'm up past midnight, it'll be to finish a paper and nothing more.
  11. I'm not sure where the current maplist came from. I thought it was the stock maplist.txt... actually, it may be. I forgot that Valve has a separate arena maplist. I'm going to merge arena_mapcycle.txt into it, which should have all the stock arena maps. Also, these maps are in the order they were added to the game... time to alphabetize them really quick!
  12. This is Team Fortress. You could be the best player in the world, but if the rest of your team sucks, or in some cases is even uncoordinated while the other team isn't, you're still going to lose. Since we run public servers, teams are going to be moderately uncoordinated no matter what you do.
  13. ...and the chance of all of them ending up on the same team randomly is also considerably less. To be exact, it's the same probability as getting x coin tosses in a row: 1/(2^x) where 2 is the number of teams and x is the number of players. To spell it out more explicitly: 2: 1/4 (25%) 3: 1/8 (12.5%) 4: 1/16 (6.25%) 5: 1/32 (3.125%) 6: 1/64 (1.5625%)
  14. I'm going to note yesterday, that I didn't join early in the day because I saw 5 guys on with nQa in their name. I can only assume 4 of them changed their names prior to when I was on.
  15. That was my suggestion last time. I think it's time to discuss this again, seeing as how they're still up to the same thing!
  16. I was wondering as I played tonight if some of them were nQa guys but without tags in their names. I too quit after a few maps. (Joined just before cp_well ended, ctf_2fort (cut short by rtv), cp_badlands, cp_dustbowl, quit during pl_goldrush). Not only was team stacking a problem in about every map here but cp_badlands, but Brock Samson had to be warned on multiple occasions not to sticky camp spawn doors.
  17. That would be the server bugging and using the map list instead of the map cycle. tc_hydro's not actually on the map cycle at all cp_dustbowl is supposed to follow ctf_2fort. Given that the server has no idea what the maplist is, it must be Sourcemod causing the problem. I'm going to look into reinstalling Sourcemod within the next few days. In the meantime, I'm going to restart the server. Edit: I made a minor configuration change that may fix the problem, or at least mitigate it, but I can't test it directly. Just keep an eye out for maps appearing out of order.
  18. I forgot to mention, to help you decide if you want these games, you can try the demo of Overlord and demo of Overlord II.
  19. Maybe this will give me incentive to finish Overlord. Got most of the way through the game trying not to accrue any evil deeds, then got stuck at one point. That was over a year ago. A few months back, I started a game of Overlord trying to get every evil reputation point I possibly could, but got tired of playing through it. Maybe this will get me to actually complete it, particularly now that I can access the expansion content to the first game.
  20. Unfortunately, I do a lot of impulse buying on Steam. That's probably why my Steam Games list has 85 games on it.
  21. There are a few community maps over on l4dmaps that my friends and I have played. Seems like the one one we liked was Death Abroad, though. I also mirrored some campaigns on my website because L4dmaps mirrors suck.
  22. While it was an assumption, he drew on previous experience with shareware software; that once the evaluation time is up it stops working. mIRC is the exception to the rule in this case.
