finished Super Mario World Castle: The Return

I've created a remake of the classic Super Mario World Castle theme. It's orchestrated with a use of minimal synth during some parts to justify uniqueness. It was created for a mindset of Mario going through the massive castle, and halfway in finds Bowser. (The Drums come in.) Anyways, that's it. Hi all, this is my first post so hopefully it goes well This is a recording I made with several guitars, a Pod and Garageband of all the parts of "One Winged Angel." -Starting to get into music again, practising violin and going to start doing remixing/recording, but here are some original pieces from a Clarinet 4tet that me and my friends played together back in 2006 -After study, gonna form up again and have some good times again =D -These are soft(sorry!) live recordings from yr11/12 and aren't perfect, but were good memories! (I'm playing the violin bit, and of course my other friends are piano/clarinet/cello) Too bad 2 of us are in Melb, I'm in QLD and the cello is in NZ, but gotta pursue your dream hehe Not 2 sure what happened to the 3rd Movement o.O Way too many flats, sharps and time changes haha -

Yo! I thought that couple of Battletoads tunes could sound nice if it's remixed with some dubstep influences. So I decided to test what I can do with these songs. Hello all =D I thought I'd like to show my creations to you, as I aspire to compose music for games one day, and while I'm nowhere near as good as one can be yet, hopefully I'll get better as the years go by These are all works from my Music technology course from my first two years (Going to start final year later this October, hopefully with actual video game music/remixes!) Year 1: Ghosts vs Left4Dead: Walking through Ambience: Year 2: Not so Typical: The Violin Dance: Inside the Mind of a Violinist: I also made Max/MSP patches, but they were so rubbish I decided not to ever think about them I got around 57-63 for these works, so it's average, but I would love any constructive feedback so that I can be ready for some remixing =D.

finished SUBMITTED: NiGHTS - Celestial Entrance

Hi. I submitted this in late January, which means it should just about be hitting the lower intestine now. It's called Celestial Entrance (hint: there's the link) and it's based on Gate of your Dreams from NiGHTS: Into Dreams. Here's the source: I am posting it here several months after submitting it primarily due to Emunator recommending it. I think it's a little conservative, especially for the first 50% of the song, but it makes up for that by shuffling the bassline a bit and throwing in a guitar solo, meanwhile still retaining the melody of the song which plays the entire time but is a little buried (you hear it very clearly at the end). It has a lot of hand drums, including a couple weird ones like handheld mini-wedding bells and a coffee can. The bells are also scratched together for that funky Beck type noise. I'm really hoping this passes the panel. I put a lot of heart into this song and I always find it kind of emotionally moving. x_x -

Since I don't have the best samples in the world, I tried to make it like it was 4 keyboardists performing a rock song live. Instruments are actually Drums, Bass, Guitar 1, Guitar 2 and ''Keyboardist'' (orchestral hits in this case). I have to say, I already know that there are better samples out there, and I know there are about a million people better than me, so please be nice... Thanks for the listen. I'm going to be honest with you guys, I'm not really looking to improve, I just want a listener or two. -
A friend of mine, who is a songwriter, asked me to do a collab work. He wanted an epic orchestral ending for his last song, so I took the main melody of his song (which is the one in piano you can hear from 0:18, and started working. This is the result: Comments are welcome, as always.
