Darklink42
I've gotten 40 so far, although I did use two of Abadoss's hints. There are a couple that I feel like I should know, and there are several that I just don't have a clue on, like the meats boxing and the dude with his eye out. Embarrassingly enough, I don't know what to put for the light cycles either. I did get the pie one though, which wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was when I first looked at it. Edit: Completely stuck at 43 now. Got the soldiers one, and the light cycles. I'm stumped after that.
LuckyXIII
like the meats boxing and the dude with his eye out. Dude - Food Fight! However, I also don't know the eye one and a few more....
LuckyXIII
The cracked TV screen? The guy on the roof in a pie...?? wtf goldeneye.... Homerun and Shadow of the Colossus took me a few days.... Jumping out of the window? fallout... Dueling violinists?
Darklink42
Here's how I got some of those: Pie: Look at what the guy inside the pie is holding in his hands TV: The T.V. isn't cracked, it's ____ Cat: It's not about the cat, but what the arrow is pointing at specifically. Window: Think about whether or not the guy actually jumped or had an accident. If you absolutely can't get it: Pie= Spy Hunter TV= Smash TV Cat= Golden Eye Window= Fall Out End spoilers I don't know what's with the violinists either. Binjovi
I got the violinists and the guy with his eye out. For the violinists, think about the name of the things they're holding up. For the eye guy, think about the action that his eye is making.
Abadoss
For the light cycles, consider the thread title here...
LuckyXIII
Finally figured out the window guy...falling...externally... The cat with the expensive eye finally made sense. The meta-reference of the light cycles dawned on me as well. I lack only 3! The rock which looks like it's running (jumping?) Still can't get the dangling eye. And the pink car... Anyone else need any hints on the others?
Binjovi
I lack only 3! The rock which looks like it's running (jumping?) It's running. Try to think of synonyms for what seems to be going on there. Still can't get the dangling eye. What sound might an eye coming out of someone's socket make? And the pink car... I'm stuck on that one as well. The only other one I need is the daisy. LuckyXIII
It's running. Try to think of synonyms for what seems to be going on there. I was thinking of rush, or rushing...but I can't seem to get it. What sound might an eye coming out of someone's socket make? OH!!! I'm stuck on that one as well. The only other one I need is the daisy. The daisy, or, uh, flower, is in the same vein as the firetruck in terms of self-reference.
Binjovi
Funny. I typed in the correct name for the daisy many times, but it must have timed out on me or something, 'cause I had to refresh for it to accept it. I was thinking of rush, or rushing...but I can't seem to get it. You're getting closer. Also, don't just think of synonyms for run... EDIT: Just got the pink car. Think less of the car and more about what the "D" bubble is pointing to in particular.
Nutritious
I'm stuck on that one as well. The only other one I need is the daisy. Daisy is the most straightforward one of the whole thing, I think, which I why I couldn't get it without help. I'd also never heard of the game. As for the car, it's pretty stupidly hard . I'm not even sure I could give a decent hint without giving it away.
Darklink42
So the ones I've got left are the wolf head (I feel I should know that one), the Golden T, the car (something to do with either bumper or grill right?), the star tower, the skateboarder, the halved clock (I really hate that I can't figure that one out), the paper doll, The book with the devil in it?, and the pirate. Edit: Wow, I just tried the first thing that came to mind when I logged back in for the wolf and was right.
LuckyXIII
the Golden T, the car (something to do with either bumper or grill right?), the star tower, the skateboarder, the halved clock (I really hate that I can't figure that one out), the paper doll, The book with the devil in it?, and the pirate. spell out "T" the car is killing me not a tower, but a larger structure that has many towers how many rotations is he doing? not just halving, but splitting it's a boy that's not the devil it's a ram on a page pirate?? and what's the freakin' rock? stone? jogging? thing???!!? Darklink42
I don't get what you mean by rotations for the skateboarder. And now I just need the pirate as well and I've got them all. And if you think about another word for a large, round rock, you might be closer to figuring out what it is. It was an old NES game, which was a lot of fun. I just got the car one too. It's a different name for the bumper.
LuckyXIII
I don't get what you mean by rotations for the skateboarder. How many degrees is he spinning? And if you think about another word for a large, round rock, you might be closer to figuring out what it is. It was an old NES game, which was a lot of fun. JUST GOT IT. JUST GOT THE CAR - are you kidding me??! rassumfrassum...
LuckyXIII
Thanks for your help guys! Going to infiltrate Encom now! Well, in 2-3 weeks... Oh, where's the pirate you're referring to, Darklink? I can't re-find it...
Darklink42
#15 right next to the tree with the ring over it and under the soldiers around the car. Bottom left-ish. I finally got the skater by the way.
LuckyXIII
Ah - I thought so. Dunno if it's actually a pirate or not, but look at what he's doing to his face. Also shares the name of a popular John Woo/Nicolas Cage/Travolta actioner.
Abadoss
I think we're at the point where we can just list the whole damn thing. Yes?
Hale-Bopp
My Encom badge is well on its way to me. I'm such a nerd sometimes.
LuckyXIII
Abadoss: I concur. Hale-Bopp: I'll see your nerdness and raise you 299 Space Credits; this is the most interaction I've had with not only forum members, but actual remixers ever since I've been on the site. Generally I don't have a lot of time or experience to contribute to threads, but I've been here since the time of Unmod and have largely lurked over the years. I gotta say, it's been really cool, albeit via minor interactions. I'm a big fan of your mixes - both you and Abadoss, and to all of y'all in this thread I actually kind of feel like a part of the community in a small way. One day I'll make it to a meet-up.... Darklink42
Thanks for the help too LuckyXII. I can't wait to see my Encom badge in the mail too.
Hale-Bopp
Right on, Lucky! We both got lurker blood. So, when do we start work at Encom? I'm sick of my current day job.
LuckyXIII
Orientation is two weeks from tomorrow, starting at 8AM. Amidst all the regular paperwork (W-4s and whatnot) I heard there are some weird kinds of waivers we have to sign - indemnity clauses or something? I got something similar from Aperture, but never heard back from their HR lady; Gladys or something... Anywho...!
Darklink42
Looks like I'm working for Encom now. Got my badge, and got introduced to their system, just have to see what's going on from there.
