Lunahorum
what exactly are you looking for?
Zephyr
^ what he said, We need to know what you want to do, why do you think you need plugins? Can't the software already do what you want? Do you have all of those programs? What do you need them for? Have you ever "retooled" a song before? I don't understand why you think you need some plugins, or how you managed to get that much software, just so you know pirating is not at all supported here. Sweendrix
Let me say again...and yes...I own legit versions of all the software...but I am not quite as strong in my audio editing as I am in my video editing/direcing/indie film producing, and I would like to learn more about professional level audio engineering. More specifically, recording with the PODXT professional, proper use of Multiband Dynamics, Proper Mic Positions, and Final Mastering techniques, tube versus solid state, etc... I am researching plugins, because even the core software is so damn expensive to purchase that when I invest in plug-ins... I am looking specifically for plug-ins that are professional level versions and produce professional level results: FFT Filter Analyzer Multiband Dynamics Compressors Expanders Limiters Gates Amp Simulation Reverb/Room Simulation Phase Inverters As an artist, as well as a free lance news reporter, writer, and director, trust me when I say that I AM 100% for the protection of intellectual property and anti-piracy measures. About me: I am an indie film director (with a budget) and would like to expand my knowledge in the field of digital audio engineering. I am solid with musical arrangements, but would consider myself only a "journeyman" of digital audio engineering. By Journeyman...I mean...that I know the basics pretty well, that I could work at a major recording studio but not be the "head guy." I have worked/gone to school for digital media creation however, I concentrated on video production, writing for electronic media, directing, lighting, and producing. When I say indie film director: here is an example...original audio and video work:
Lunahorum
I guess you should go pick up Waves Mercury. http://www.waves.com/Content.aspx?id=1685
PrototypeRaptor
why not go to www.kvraudio.com? they have TONS of plugin reviews, info, prices, etc etc etc and a nifty forum that you go to to have people tell your mixing, mastering, arrangement, or all of the above suck! (also, I made a plugin thread here not too long ago...it died rather fast but some big names told us their plugins... have a look: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18057
analoq
I am looking specifically for plug-ins that are professional level versions and produce professional level results:FFT Filter Analyzer Multiband Dynamics Compressors Expanders Limiters Gates Amp Simulation Reverb/Room Simulation Phase Inverters Not every DAW has multiband processors, FFTs, amp/room simulation, but the rest are staples that are built into your software. And the DAW softwares you mentioned will yield professional results. You really only need to go third-party if you're looking for a specific kind of sound. Say you want a vintage compressor sound on your drums, or Lexicon-sounding reverb on your mix... then you have something to ask advice on. cheers. Yoozer
Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for any solid audio plugins for the following platforms: I really want to know why people mess with the text sizes in their posts intead of just increasing the fontsize in their browser (try ctrl+numpad-plus or hold ctrl and scroll up). In other words, please don't do this. Steinberg Cubase LEPro-Tools 7.2 Since you didn't mention a budget, I'm going to take the candy store approach: http://www.pspaudioware.com/ http://www.mcdsp.com/ http://www.sonnoxplugins.com/pub/plugins/home.htm http://www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=guitarrig3se < I've got this one but don't have a guitar http://www.rndigital.org/inspectorXL.html
