analoq Posted February 12, 2004 Share Posted February 12, 2004 well, since i remixed this into a really slow, boring, melodically simplistic uberfake sounding orchestral track.. i'm intimately familiar with the original. and i can say while this provides some nice embellishments to the original, it's really just that. the original with some embellishments and it repeats over and over again and then fades out. it just 'sounds' kinda unpleasing too, not an example of good mixing here. no Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When new things are eventually added, like the violin at 1:35, things become to sound ugly. The key changes are a very bad idea. They just sound... bad. And thats about it. I think the other main issue for me here, is the sharpness of the tambourines. Sounds like it's over eq'd. This needs more focus and a more unique approach.
