djpretzel Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 Hello, This is my first submission to oc remix, so i hope you like it. It's a nice slow version of the ocean palace theme from chrono trigger. I was hoping to do some more of the tune, but i didn't think i could do the key change without spoiling it. Anyway, im The Snee, i've been using the site for years, so i thought id give something back. Tell me if i got anything wrong.

DarkeSword Posted June 5, 2004 Posted June 5, 2004 I'm in agreement with the others. The arrangement is pretty lackluster. Hardly any highs and lows, and there's much too much reverb on that kick drum. The strings and the kickdrum 'verb are filling up the space in a bad, muffely kind of way. Work on arrangement and variation, as well as balance between your sounds. NO
GrayLightning Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 I actually like this, but the ridiculous amount of reverb is way too much. There's a difference between making a large soundscape and drowning something in it. Slightly more highs and lows on this would make this much better as well, as pointed out by darke. There's a lot of potential here that you could expand on and lengthen. Borderline No
