Nakabai, L. Shigeno) "Powerplant" Up until :48 when the melody came in, everything was pretty boring and unengaging. The intro definitely didn't work as far as building up to the meat of the mix. Now beyond :48, the lead was absolutely way too loud, topping out the frequencies and piercing my ear as it continued. By 2 minutes, this just got old. Really, really boring with practically no development. The addition of some faint strings at 2:36 was too little too late and the ending was limper than Prot's penis. NO
Protricity Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 Stuff like 1:10 is just soo poorly done. mono lead just sounds so loud and so bad. Low sample quality attention, volume issues, and ressonance rip through this song like nothing, and all thats left is a headache. NO

Everything is just tracked way too loud, and it's filling up my ears in that painful turn-it-off way (aka too much resonance). This is also too damn repetitive to be enjoyable at all. That flute(?) just doesn't let up. NO
Vig Posted August 15, 2004 Posted August 15, 2004 the instruments are dry and mechanical. i want to hear more rhythmic variation...too many whole notes in the...uh...strings?...maybe? okay so i dont know what they are supposed to be. I hear som serious fuzz on the lead at around 1:20. it's ugly. and it's too loud. it get's repetitive, and nothing cuts thru other than the lead, which, as i already stated, is ugly. NO
