Anti-Syne Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Right firstly i don't know how many people on here watch/have heard of top gear (if you haven't it's basically a very popular British entertainment program about cars). There's a fairly brief moment toward the end of tonight's episode where i could swear they're using part of metal gear solid 3's main theme. The song used is here from 3:22 to 3:32and it's used right here http://beta.bbc.co.uk/i/t3t7s/?t=58m51s (that link should take you to the exact moment of the show), or here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HJoRKAbuBA (8:02 in) Anyone else agree? seems very odd for a mainstream BBC show to put in part of a video game soundtrack... Anti-Syne Posted July 11, 2010 Author Posted July 11, 2010 ah bollocks, completely forgot it would only be available in the UK, i'll have to try and find it somewhere else here is that somewhere else: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HJoRKAbuBA (8:02 in) Quote
Kenogu Labz Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I believe what you're hearing is a stock drum loop. There's a lot of them out there, and it's fun to hear occurrences of them across mainstream media. Quote
The Vagrance Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 Its entirely possible, especially considering I'm pretty sure they used a Halo track in one of their earlier episodes EDIT: Yep, they used "Peril" at (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZFvVzjclGk#t=3m16s) Quote
Hemophiliac Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I'm pretty sure what you're hearing there is stormdrum/stormbreakz. I hear stormdrum constantly in tv/film music. Quote
