Hi. :)

Quote : The Orichalcon (TO) - "I voted you first in PRC15, RZ0. Party in the Plumber Kingdom is the best remix I've heard from you so far. It's submitable in my opinion."

So, blame him for that :P

Well, this is a remix of the mushroom kingdom I did for PRC15. (Super Mario RPG - hello, happy kingdom) PRC kicks ass. That being said, reelmojo is awesome. :) Overall musical style : weird and overly happy...

The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Original Song - http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/nintendo/snes/mushroom.mid (sorry, worst pun ever. :/ )

I got 2nd place in PRC15. Really.

I don't know how, though.

Quote : DJP - "Submitters should note that they must explicitly state in their submission emails their desire to have links left to their mixes."

I hereby explicitly state my desire to have the link left to my mix. :)

well, I think that's all.

http://www.snesmusic.org/spcsets/smrpg.rsn - "Hello, Happy Kingdom" (smr-112.spc)

The lead synth at :06 is very unappealing. That really all I can say about it. Broadly speaking on the whole mix, the juxtaposition of sounds is unbalanced, the instruments sound too fake, the structure is VERY haphazard & messy, and the background synths and percussion never change their patterns. To be frank, it's not very engaging listening, Dan. Sorry, bro. Keep at it. Just not with this one.

Actually the judges said that, and djp should take note and put it in the submission page.

This guy sent me the flp for this mix a long time ago, cause I thought the arrangement ideas in it were cool. Bass and piano parts are interestingly written, but writing them isn't enough; he needs to learn how to mix. Everything here is a mess. WASP synth is more annoyingly buzzy than its name. Things start to repeat and collapse into some kind of overbuzzed, hyperactive insulin shock.

More practice with FL required.

Yeah.. arrangement here isn't that bad, but it's difficult to judge because of the mixing issues. The drums just keep repeating themselves and are very lo-fi and uninteresting, while the other instruments are just irritating and poorly executed. For instance, the piano has a bad, super-compressed tone. Changing the pattern it plays as well as the sample (and using tools like reverb and delay) would make it much less dry. The bass synth is far too loud, which might work in a dance mix, but not here. The string pad synth is very "big" and doesn't add anything because clutter to the overall sound. The lead synth, among other things, is obnoxious and biting, partially because of the patch in question, and partially because of the seemingly-random notes it is playing.

Please go back and completely rework your instrumentation and mixing. NO
