LuIzA Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I'm wondering what are some of the best brush kit sound libraries. The ones I've heard are rather poor, especially when it comes to actual "brushing" as oposed to "hits". I realize that has a lot to do with the tempo of the songs, but I'd think there are more flexible sound libraries out there... are there? The only one I can say I own are the brush sounds that come with Superior 2.0. Quote
PROTO·DOME Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Actually, as I've been really getting into jazz lately I've thought the same thing. The best I've achieved is chopping up some loops and adding a bit of reverb, but obviously I'd like something more flexible. Does such a wonder exist? Quote
Fishy Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Does such a wonder exist? http://www.xlnaudio.com/?page=products&p_page=adpaks&i_page=modernjazzbrushes Even includes pot stirring technology. I haven't tried it but it's safe to assume that AD's sampling is as detailed as ever. Quote
Sixto Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Easily, the best brush library would be the Custom & Vintage SDX for Superior 2. Problem is, you can't use it unless you already have Superior 2. Quote
dannthr Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I use Cinesamples' Session Drummer Series Vol 2 Ballad Brushes for my brush stirs. http://cinesamples.com/products/session-drummer-series/ Basically, it has an endless unaccented stir loop with an accenting sample. Here is a sample in a cue I did for Monkey Island 2 using that library: Quote
Nase Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 http://www.acousticsamples.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=23 don't own it, but the guy makes good libraries and the demos sound nice as always. Quote
