Yeah, the melody and drum track don't seem to be at the same tempo at all. Other sounds are very sporadic and don't really seem to make much sense in the context of the song.

As far as drum programming goes, most music making software should allow you to sequence drums in beats so that they're the proper tempo for the song, but I don't know what you're using or why the melody and drums are so out of sync to begin with so I don't think I can be of much help.

I don't mean to be competitive or anything, as I'm also finishing up a Matoya interpretation, but I was gnashing my teeth at this one. In fact, I'm pretty sure that by the end of the piece the left side of jaw now sits higher than my right. I think it started off interesting enough, i'm all for some tension in seemingly untense music but it needs to find a groove somewhere to get some relief for the listener.

The vibe was unique. As it is I kind of got that feeling of walking through an arcade (remember those?) and listening to the background music and sound fx from several cabinets at once. Hope I'm not offending you, just what I heard. Might be a unique enough idea to try to run with.

Yeah, the drums (very sparse ones at that) and melody are out of time with each other and they are pretty much the only things in the mix save a few random nes sound fx placements that sound like they come from the megaman games.... yeah I'm afraid I can't dig this one anyway I look at it, sorry man. I will say nice source choice tho :)
