Mordi
I wanted to make something moody and sample-based. Then I stumbled across Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang", and decided to incorporate it into the tune. Right now I'm not sure where to go with it. I don't know what sounds good and what doesn't at this point. Generally, this tune is a bag of ideas. Specifically, I'm not sure if the part where the vocals first come in is any good. http://mordi.ziphoid.com/data/music/work_in_progress/Mordi%20-%20Bang%20Bang%20(wip).mp3

I freakin' LOVE it. Seriously. This is one of the most interesting songs I've heard in a long while. Regarding the part where the vocals first come in......that's perfect IMO. The song's got a sort of.....spy movie feel to it. I'd really like to attempt something like this myself. This tune really inspires me. In all honesty, I'm really having trouble thinking of something about this that I didn't like and I've listened several times. If you're ever up for working on a song together, let me know. I'm not a master of the mixer though. I'm more experienced in musical end of things. So some other users may be able to point out flaws in the mix itself that I probably wouldn't notice. Regardless, I enjoyed it.
Mordi
Cool, that's very nice to hear! I've really lost sense of what works and what doesn't lately... I think I'll keep working on it as it is we'll see where it goes.

It didn't really have an ending...
AngelCityOutlaw
The whole song was great, except the ending. It didn't really have an ending... This is a work-in-progress though. I'm talking about the stuff that currently exists. Yeah, Mordi should totally finish it though. Make a killer outro!

Mordi
I finished the track, and it has been released as part of "The Sound of SceneSat: Volume 2" - Link You can download all of the tracks there. Everything is solid stuff. Track info-page @ SceneSat If you register at the site it becomes downloadable, but they played it on a show and you can listen freely to it there (just press the little Java-icon on the track info-page).
