OverCoat Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 So I've been playing a lot of Ace of Spades inbetween my eve online obsession. It's a minecraft-like FPS with capture the flag and combat, so basically "minecraft with guns." http://ace-spades.com/ It's currently at beta 0.51, free to play, and is an impressive 4 MB in size. The voxel engine is cool and it's really fun to build forts and giant penises on the map. Thought I'd share this with you guys because it's pretty fun, hopefully I'll see y'all on the servers soon! quick tip: open config.ini to change your name and the screen resolution [but be warned anything above 800x600 is kinda sluggish, even for my i7] Quote
The Damned Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Is everything that comes out now basically "Minecraft with ____" these days? Quote
Benjamin Briggs Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 maybe if I do the soundtrack it will become wildly popular and then I will sell thousands of copies of it or is that kind of a one-time-per-universe thing edit: this is fun and there actually isn't any music yet? uhhh who do I email edit: thank you twitter Quote
Brandon Strader Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 if it becomes another indie game with electronica soundtrack, i will devote my life to discrediting it and you Quote
