DrumUltimA
Figured this was interesting enough to share here. Apparently, Beyonce is a descendent of Gustav Mahler, who, for those of you who don't know that name, is one of the most celebrated orchestral composers of the western canon, and was a pivotal force in the shaping of orchestral music as we know it today. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3795389/Beyonces-classy-genes-revealed.html Not particularly earth-shattering, but certainly interesting! I wish I was related to a big name composer...

BardicKnowledge
Considering that they are cousins four times removed, it's not too shocking a revelation. Interesting trivia fact but nothing more. Gotta love the biographer dude pushing it though.
Xenon Odyssey
Yeah, that's a really big stretch...but hey; who wouldn't want to be related to someone like Mahler, even if that remotely? Hopefully this will get some Beyoncé fans to at least check some of his symphonies, for however long they can last not listening to something by an orchestra...
