Hyperion5182
One of the crazier debates thanks to the upgrades SW got in the 90's was a scene where Han Solo didn't actually shoot first. http://blastr.com/2012/09/see-the-swordfight-that-n.php This should answer the question once and for all: Ford Always Shoots first. EC2151
Yeah but is he a replicant?
Omni-Psyence
Ridley Scott has stated already that he was indeed a replicant. This was in an article discussing the Blade Runner sequel.
Garian
Harrison Ford has said that his interpretation is that Deckard is a human, and the theatrical release backs him up. Scott's own admission is that the revisionist cuts he's made have all been to fully flesh out his take on the story, but if Deckard is a replicant then really doesn't the story lose some (if not all) meaning, as far as questioning his humanity? Just goes to show that you can give a hack good editors but you can't make him think

There isn't actually any debate about that.

I prefer it that way.
Toadofsky
Even the Blade Runner Video Game's story involved McCoy (the main character) possibly being a replicant, but that depended upon your actions.
