Kumori
Hey there! A while ago I posted a WIP of this theme and now it's done https://www.box.com/s/d9c97d03f16898ec9f9c This is the source, for nostalgics and for those who didn't play the game (please, do! it's so good!) http://youtu.be/aGSThT6CYMM I know it's not OCR material, more of a remake like DjMokran would say as I guess it's too close to the original, for starters, but I'm quite happy with the result and maybe some would enjoy listening to my take on this great theme Hope you enjoy! And leave feedback if you want Cheers!
EC2151
I love it a lot. It sounds, in terms of instruments used and arrangement, like a remix red book audio track if the game had been revamped for the Sega CD or something. And that's pretty awesome. Kumori
Thanks a lot for your comment! So Glad you like it. Yeah, that's exactly what I had in mind when I was remaking it
Dj Mokram
Hey! I'm glad you went back to finalize this one Kumori. You've really captured the spirit of the original in this sweet remake. Makes me wish there was a sequel to DH in the works at Treasure HQ. Btw, you should add your name to the file title, or in the mp3 tags. Else people will never know you're the one who did this. timaeus222
Hm, interesting percussion there. It's giving a happy-go-lucky type feel. At 0:38, the brass-like synth feels kind of weird panned left. Maybe it could just be panned stereo? I dunno, usually I like the more high end stuff panned right and the more low passed stuff panned left. At 1:26, perhaps you should experiment with a better instrument there. It's not quite fitting. Good job so far!
Troyificus
Loving this mix, definitely captures the feel of the game. Excellent work so far!
Kumori
Thank you for your comments!! I also think I could work a bit on the panning, even add a bit more instrumentation at some places, but I don't think I will be making it any longer though I wanted to keep it short and close to the source and its spirit. So glad you think I got its spirit Trism!
