I do this synth a lot http://soundcloud.com/aires/air3s-thinking (starts at 2:19) and some portamento (gliding) on the synth
Garrett Williamson
2 detuned saws under notch/bell filter (with the cutoff and/or the resonance automating in some range) with alot of distortion/bit decimation or overdrive. Basically what he said. ^^ I don't know what software you're using, but lots of times, depending on the synth plugin, you can find the sound easier. In Logic, the best bet would be ES1. It is a more low quality synth but it can do some really cool stuff and I bet I could create that synth if I spent enough time on it. timaeus222
Resonant saw wave run through a cross modulation filter with overdrive, with an LFO on the cutoff, and a large amount of glide at opportune times.
OMGitslewis
Yeah, I am using ableton, so I have Operator and I have Massive as well. Will probably start trying to recreate it tomorrow.

Operator and analog are the shit man! and low cpu!
Garrett Williamson
Operator and analog are the shit man! and low cpu! Anything analog is more likely to sound like that synth sound, probably.
dannthr
To be honest, it sounds like Oscillator Sync to me, which is REALLY similar to detuning two oscillators, the difference is that the secondary oscillator is reset every cycle. It was probably done on a little phatty, but thats a guess. but it does sound very thick though.... Massive does have a oscillator that does that, but I cant remember.... it maybe in the manual. Rozovian
Yeah, saw sync. Can't say what the main oscillator is tuned to, it seems to move around a bit. Probably based around the 5th or the octave when there aren't any bends and things.
