Melodious Punk
I am reforming a group to play some themes in an Ennio Morricone/John Zorn-syled small group. I really think the most important part of a song for an improviser is the bass, so I figured I'd ask y'all what your favorite basslines were. I really love Bust-A-Move and Startropics's Cave music, but I am really interested in finding some killer ostinatos.

Melodious Punk
castlevania is certainly close to what I was looking for! I think I'll speed it up and put it on upright bass. thanks! also, it was nice to check out soukaigi, and makes me think of a bunch of SoM tunes that could bear some great 2-4 bar bass ostinatos.
