  1. Thank you. I'll keep this in mind. Do you happen to know what TED talk it was?
  2. Wow, it seems like forever since I made a post here. I have been lurking from time to time, but never got around to posting or replying to anything. Lately, I have been involved in real estate investing, lending, and building my business so I can quit my job, and focus on spending the rest of my life doing stuff I actually enjoy. Well, trying to figure out what I actually enjoy. I am going through sort of a "self-rediscovery" period i guess. I have realized that I have spent most of my life working my ass off instead of living a life and seeking true happiness. So much so, that I actually don't even know what makes me happy. I can barely remember a time when I was happy...just content, but not happy. I really don't know... Anyway, I haven't done any new remixes in a while. I do short, simple songs that focus more on improving my production and sound quality, but I have not had much inspiration to create a whole new song. I get all these dope melodies in my head when I'm working or something, but when I sit down in front of my computer with FL Studio open...nothing. So yeah, I have been trying to get my life in some sort of order.
  3. Thanks for the feedback LT! Dang, I was hoping to have shown some improvement with my mechanical sounding instruments. I'm hoping to actually be able to record me playing, instead of just arranging the notes in FL, but I still have a long way to go until I'm comfortable enough. I'll keep working on it though.
  4. Thank you all for your hard work putting all of this together. I forgot about a lot of these old remixes that I did way back in the day. I definitely came a long way musically.
  5. Thanks a lot! I had a blast redoing this mix, but I'm still not satisfied with the guitar section, so I'll keep tweaking that part.
  6. Holy crap, has it really been nearly 4 years???? I finished this a while back, but after check out Joshua Morse's Super Sonic Fusion Collection on bandcamp, I was inspired to revisit it to make further improvements. Of course, its is nowhere near his quality, but I feel like I definitely improved my sound. So, I thought I'd share what I have. New version:
  7. Thanks! I agree. It does seem like something is missing around 03:25. I tried adding the guitar in that section in an earlier draft, but it started sounding cluttered. I will figure out something before submitting it though.
  8. Bump from like, over a year ago... I made a few changes to the track and I might submit this one since I haven't submitted anything in a while. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  9. Glad to see everything is getting finalized. I can't wait!
  10. HYPE!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to try it out. I've been away from my true passion for too long.
  11. I am selling my 8GB Gigabyte R9 390X on Ebay. Bidding starts at $200.00. There is a fan bearing going out on it, so it makes a small grinding sound when its under load, but the fans still turn at full speed and they still keep the card cool. Its a great deal if you don't mind the noise (I prefer a totally quiet rig personally). The fans can be replace easily by looking up the model number printed on the back of them, but it will take a while for them to get shipped to you. The listing is here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gigabyte-R9-390x-Windforce-Video-Card-G1-Gaming-GV-R939XG1-8GB-Radeon/122842425834?hash=item1c99faa9ea:g:PLsAAOSwgspZuX0m#viTabs_0
  12. This remix brought back so many memories! This was the first computer game I got after me and my dad built my first computer. Its good to know this game has not been forgotten. Thanks for this awesome remix. Btw, I just found and bought this game on Steam.
  13. Damn that sucks. It took me a while to finally start getting a little traffic on my page again since I reopened it. I guess I could start posting stuff on my YouTube channel though.
  14. I FREAKING LOVE IT! Excellent work on the site so far and excellent music, man. I like the "compare to the original feature." It saves me the trouble of looking the songs up. I haven't heard some of these mixes in a long time. Definitely brings back memories.
  15. Thanks! I have been having difficulties with that guitar. I will work on it some more and update soon.
  16. I'm very new to video editing myself, so I might not be the best person to ask. I use Vegas Movie Studio 14 and I really enjoy it since it is relatively easy to use. My only problem with it is the fact that it is sorta new, and there isn't alot of helpful tutorials out there for it yet. As far as audio, I actually use FL Studio and some of the tools built into Movie Studio if I plan on using my music in my videos. I'll refer you to one of my previous threads where I asked a similar answer, maybe it will help:
  17. Hello everyone! It's been a while, hasn't it? This is sort of a calming/meditation/whatever remix that I am doing of the "Hope, Isolation, Pray" theme from Seiken Densetsu 3. I started this on a really long time ago, and I kinda got to a point where I was stuck and I eventually gave up on it in favor of some other projects. Today, I stumbled across it while looking for some other files, and I decided to give it another try now since I have better sounding samples and whatnot. This mix is meant to feel kinda airy and empty at first, and then build up slowly. I'm trying to decide where I should go with it, so it does cut off abruptly. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. Any feedback is helpful. Thanks
  18. I was looking into that. Adobe's software just seems a little too complicated for me at the moment, but I am planning on stepping up to their stuff once I get a better understanding of editing and, hopefully gain a decent following. I have a long ways to go, but my goal is to grow to a point where I can monetize my YT channel, and maybe have them pay for all that good stuff.
  19. Nice. I always wanted to check out some Let's Plays from old school games. I'll be checking your channel out!
  20. Thanks man! I have a LED lamp that I am using for lighting. I didn't realize it when I got it, but it is a super bright white. As dumb as it sounds, I've been taping some paper over it like a rigged up light filter. I tried yellow paper first and now I'm using white. Plus, I had it in different positions around my desk, trying to figure out where is the best place to put it without blinding myself. I think I finally found a decent spot for it now. I found a few random ones scattered around the net, but nothing that really explains all of the features and how to use them. Everything is trial and error at the moment. If you do find something, let me know.
  21. Appreciate it! I definitely have a lot of work to do. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I'm just not very savvy with YouTube. There's a ton of "get started" guides, but every single one of them are drasticly different. It's hard to tell what actually works and what doesn't, so I try to reach out to people that have been doing this for a while. I've been checking out others and they do have a formula for their videos and they stick to it pretty closely. I'm still in the experimentation stage, so every video is slightly different as I learn new stuff, but I want to develop some sort of baseline and build off of that. Since my channel kinda focuses on three things, I'll need to come up with three different standards for them, I guess. Or maybe I should split up the channel. I don't know yet. But I'm researching how to make custom channel art and all of that stuff now and re-learning Photoshop. For the audio, I think I'm moving in the right direction with that last game play. I boosted the mic volume a bit, but it sounds like there's reverb on it or something. Maybe the mic was too far away. I'm trying to find a way to keep the mic from picking up the sounds from me using my controller/keyboard/mouse. I have a Blue Snowball mic now and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use it. I'm a major introvert and I'm camera shy. With that said, doing the Outlast gameplay with face cam is the scariest thing I've done this year, so this is kinda like therapy for me. I have a hard time trying to play a game and just talk about stuff at the same time. I lose focus on one or the other, so I just shut up and play sometimes. LOL. I'm still trying to figure out how to make better thumbnails. It's been years since I mess with Photoshop, but I want to make something standard for all my videos that incorporates my avatar. I'll be figuring it out soon. Since my internet is ass, I can't upload as often as I'd like, I live in a small town, so the internet is not the best. It literally takes me half a day to upload one video and downloading new games is out of the question at the moment. Once I find a better ISP, I will be able to post up much more content. Hopefully I'll have that straight this weekend. I have a queue of Steam games that I never played, so I was trying to get them knocked out before I get the new games, but I understand that playing new releases will get more views, but at the same time, I would end up competing with guys like Dashie and runJDrun and I don't stand a chance of getting views if they end up playing the same game. I'm going all in with this channel. I want to have some fun, do something different, and promote a little positivity. I appreciate your advice and I will use it!
  22. Yo! How are ya Seph? Well I need a ton of pointers actually...I have been looking for feedback my volume levels between my mic and the game play footage. My mic was too low in my first few game plays, so I adjusted it in my latest one. I'm just wondering if it actually does sound better, or is it too loud now? My hearing has gone to crap thanks to my last couple of jobs, so I have a hard time with sound balancing and EQing unfortunately. Also, I'm looking for tips to add more flair to my channel and make my videos more entertaining (thumbnails, banners, animations, ect.) especially for the review videos. I really want to relay the information better about a subject that I am deeply passionate about, and capture the viewer's attention at the same time. Plus, I'm trying to get over the crazy amount of nervousness I have on camera. I've been getting some great feedback that I will apply soon, but more will help. And how do you actually grow your channel? When I had my Blue Magic channel, it had a pretty decent following even though I wasn't really doing much. Now, since I'm actually interested in YouTube, I can't really grow it that well.
  23. That might be what I need! I'll experiment with it a little later.
  24. I have to see if there's something like that for Vegas. That is pretty slick.
  25. Podcast vids! Pretty interesting. What kind ofstuff do you plan on talking about in your future podcasts?
