Graff
Hey, guys. I was wondering if anyone knew of a VST plugin that had things like metallic bangs, like the sound of a sledgehammer hitting an anvil. Example below: I do apologize if this is in the wrong section. Graff
Impact Soundworks: Impact Steel - Kontakt 4 or above Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply! Edit: Actually, does anyone know of a free alternative? Edited August 4, 2014 by Guideborn
Sbeast
You can find individual sound files on sites such as http://www.freesound.org/search/?q=anvil As for a free vst I'm not too sure about that one.
timaeus222
The FluidR3 soundfont has some orchestral auxiliary percussion, which includes an anvil.

Uffe von Lauterbach
Anybody here know how to install an .nki file in FL Studio? It's not appearing when I refresh to add a new channel and something such as DirectWave is telling me it is an encrypted file.

You'll need to buy Kontakt ($400) or buy Komplete ($500 including Kontakt and tons of other products in a bundle) to use it without restriction. Anorax
I'm kind of surprised CSD doesn't include the samples separately for importing as WAV files

Of course, I suppose the positive thing about getting this for free is that it came with .wav samples. I'm kind of surprised CSD doesn't include the samples separately for importing as WAV files What do you mean? The file "Impact Soundworks CSD" comes with a "Patches" folder that has the .nki file and a "Samples" folder that holds a ton of .wav files. Unless I'm misunderstanding you. Uffe von Lauterbach
Ah, so there ARE samples! Good! Have fun then! Is that what you were talking about? If it was, I'm glad I was able to be of some assistance.
