MindWanderer
It's a pretty conservative arrangement, but mostly what we have here is a really thin, monotonous soundscape. The bass is really quiet and there are no mids to speak of. The percussion is also minimal. And the sounds don't really change throughout--I'm hearing at least 3 different tracks of square waves, and there's not much else. The arrangement itself is repetitive, too. Take another look at the instrumentation, add some depth to it and switch things up from time to time. NO
Nutritious
Man, this is a really odd original track. Let's see what you did with it. From the start, structure and melodic elements are definitely very similar to the original, with beats and some transitional elements added in. Honestly, there's not much development in the track. It gets into second gear with the groove and melody synths, then basically stays there with some copy/paste for the second half. Drums stick with the same pattern throughout, with gives the impression of a loop played over synth lines that are basically verbatim from the original. From a cover perspective, this sounds like a pretty solid sound upgrade and is a nice listen, but we're really looking for more personalization and development OCR. Liontamer
It's a cool genre adaptation with a basic but decent groove, no question. But beyond that, this was too conservative, repetitive, underdeveloped, and dynamically flat for the submissions standards here. The core beats were plain and looped for basically the whole time, and once you've heard the first verse & chorus up to 1:07, you've basically heard the entire scope of the piece aside from some minor textural differences via sweeping SFX and robovoice drops. The energy level did have some subtle changes, but was still pretty flat; there were opportunities at spots like 2:29 to do something more dynamic or varied, and that ultimately didn't happen.
