Not bad, for a first remix.

This style is really different from any other Gerudo Valley remixes I've heard. The clarinet that your using could be better, but it's not that bad. You did a pretty good amount of variation and changes for a first mix. A lot of ones that I've listened have had no variation at all. I like what you did to the melody at 1:05. Sounds pretty good.

The only problems with this is that it's a little short and it may seem a little boring to some people. You should probably add some more parts or have the melody switch to another instrument at some point. It would make it a bit more interesting

A good first mix. I hope to hear more!

Nice!

It really reminds me a lot of Monkey Island 1&2.

But it sounds very "MIDI-ish" so far and a bit mechanic in the flow of the notes.

If you can get better-sounding soundfonts/samples and make it sound a bit more human and dynamic, this will be really good!

Some good ideas here. All you need is more proficiency with your program of choice, for it does sound quite midi. And a better sound library.

I know about nothing about sound fonts and samples.

The guitar track is real. But the rest is all what ever comes with Reason (possably with a little bit of reverb).

Could you tell me anything, or point me were I can find out out it?

we've got so many techy remixes of this song...actually we've got too many in the first place. I like this, this is a nce reprieve from the heavy beats and repetativeness of the generic gerudo mix. I hope you get in with this one and i hope you do more.

Congrats on your first attempt!

Although, I'm going to have to be one of those naysayers who says there's not enough variation. :( It's nearly note for note except to a different beat. Part of remixing is... well... mixing!

But it is a new genre, so I'll give ya that much. Kinda reggae (sp?). I'm not too familiar with Monkey Island though. *shrugs*

I agree, it is MIDI-ish, so find some good samples. That'll help a lot.

Add some reggae-style vocals, get a real guitar for the reggae chords, change the soundfont for the lead (maybe use an organ-style font?).

Anyway, that's what I would do for starters.
