djpretzel
I like your site. Here is a pacman remix that my band wrote back in the day. This summer we plan to write a few more to add to your site. We have a Bubble Bobble remix but the recording is bad so we will have to redo it. Some of our songs are at mp3.com/boymagician and yes, Boy Magician is the name of our band. This song was written, I believe, entirely in Fruity Loops Pro and then sequenced out in Acid Music. We ripped the Pacman noises from the ROM. If freewebz.com doesn't come up at all, just wait a few hours and try again i guess. I've had problems before with loading there. word to you motha. orkybash
I felt like the song had gone on long enough at the 1 minute marker. So I think you can guess how I felt at the 4 minute marker. I'm torn here, since a lot of effort obviously went in to delivering a quality mix and changing things up to keep it interesting. But it isn't kept interesting enough. Yes, I know the pacman tune is hard to remix because it's so short, so I feel like I shouldn't be knocking this remix because it end up being too repetative. But I guess, in the end, there are some songs that just cant be extended out to 4 minutes without grating. NO
Saunders
In case you guys get here and the site is down and it's going really slow or something, you can grab it from here (when it finally finishes downloading). http://rks.no-ip.com/~ocrjudges/ (see sticky at top of forum for name and password) I might not have the fastest upload speed, but currently I'm getting a whopping 2-3 kb/sec from the submitted URL. Review pending. I'm only at 6% of the download yet.
Antonio Pizza
I second 100% of everything orky said. At 1 minute in, you're like "Damn, this thing isn't over YET?" But you can tell someone put some effort into making this and is really proud of their work. It's not a pretty feeling to say no, but I've got a job to do. Saunders
Sounds like some bad mp3 compression right off the bat, or just a strange flange effect. Essentially everything from the beginning annoys me, but when the bass and drums kick in I like that (which is not to say I like the stuff going on, but just that drum loop). The part at 1:47 I liked, but it didn't last long. Also at 2:44 it got kinda good, but soon the same repetitive drums were back. I think the usage of original Pacman sounds, while adding to the nostalgiac value I suppose, were a bad idea personally, I didn't like them at all. Sorry, I'm gonna have to take a no on this one. Vote: No.
m68030
NO ... NO NO NO.. i hate the pacman theme. it's just so annoying. uhg. and this.. this is the same notes for 4:19. the bassline is the only interesting thing going on, and it's so muffled you can't even hear it other than a rumble somewhere under my desk. ew.
