Went and watched it last night. My fiancee and I both thought it was amazing. But we were in a theater filled with teenagers and some older people, and as soon as the movie went off, you could hear just about everyone saying it was shit, boring, stupid, etc. What a bunch of idiots.

I like how IMDB have already listed "Untitled J.J. Abrams Cloverfield Sequel" on their website.

Obviously, it's going to carry on from after the end of the first one, but I reckon it could be from more of an "official" perspective than the "home footage" presentation style of the original.

I hear it could be a 'second video tape' or something. I wish it was a more of direct sequel and that could still be true.

I'm amazed that the movie will get a sequel even after all the people who are criticizing it. Like some others have said, I think the critics are either idiots or missing the point of the movie.
