Gunstar Heroes is a Sega Genesis classic, praised for its creative level design and its fast, action packed gameplay.
This project is a tribute to this great game from Treasure and its amazing soundtrack composed by Norio Hanzawa.
Our goal is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gunstar Heroes in September 2013.

Album Concept & Guidelines:
Gunstar Heroes is an intense, fast-paced game, with a futuristic aesthetic, and the album should reflect that.
We're looking primarily for modern-sounding and energetic arrangements of the sources. Be Aggressive!
There are no genre restrictions, only an emphasis on aggressiveness in both sound design and direction.
As we're shooting for official status, all remixes will need to be of the quality expected on OCR albums.

Claiming Tracks:
Auditions are open to everyone. To claim a track, provide an example of your work that matches the Guidelines.
We're only allowing one claim at a time. One needs to finish a remix first before tackling a second source.
Remixers have 3 weeks after the initial claim to provide a short wip, otherwise the source will be re-opened.
To reclaim a source, you'll need to audition with a wip, as a proof of your commitment.
Do not post wips in this thread! Send them via PM to either one of the project directors.

Additional info:
-There are enough sources to warrant any theme from being remixed more than once.
-Bonus tracks will only be considered if all tracks are claimed and there's extra time left on disc.
-Likewise, medleys are discouraged as we want to give each song its proper time in the spotlight.
-Finished tracks must be in WAV format. Send them to the project directors via PM.

Unfortunately, I can only deliver with mellow sounds, so I'll pass on this one.

I'd like to emphasis that there are no genre restrictions per se. Simply a focus on modern-sounding and intensity-driven interpretations.
