I never made a statement regarding his passing before, but Reuben was a great guy and we both enjoyed each other's work very much. I was always very impressed with everything he managed to accomplish in life up to his untimely passing. To his friends and family, as well as his fans, I'm very sorry for your loss, but I have no doubt that Reuben would only want you to be happy and to live what lives you have to the fullest. He certainly did. In regards to his work, I can only hope others will continue to discover and enjoy his creations for years to come.

In case anyone here is interested, I'm selling a ton of blizzard/blizzcon swag including an unused Murloc Suit/Beta key card. I had quit playing by the time Blizzcon rolled around, and so it's all unopened. I could seriously use the cash. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250258102402

I hate to say it, but imitating Cadenza is a bad suggestion. First of all, their arrangement isn't really creative. It's nice, but definitely not the direction you need to go. Secondly, you don't want to be recognized as the guy who did that arrangement that sounds like Magical Trick Society. That'd be lame. The only advice I can really give is to draw from 3 places for your inspiration. Yourself, the source material, and something that contrasts. Remember, while your arrangement may not be the most original idea out there, someone will love it. Contrast well, and everyone will love it.

The original was recorded in 2001. This was recently rearranged and recorded in 2008. -
I'm glad to see you have principals. Let me know when you're bored of them and I'll gladly take them off your hands free of charge.

Do yourself a favor and check the ebay listings for both. That should answer your question.

OCR01684 - Animal Crossing "Traveling"
kaijin replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
My point was that it was intentionally fake, not that you're opinion is wrong. Maybe you were reading into my response a bit much. I wasn't dissing your review. I was merely putting the harmonica in context. I wouldn't want to leave my listeners thinking that I actually was going for a realistic harmonica, when I wasn't. Thank you for the compliments though. -

I explained this one back in 2004, but it's that way on purpose. In fact, I'd say it's a bit tame in comparison to the material that influenced it. If you're interested in an example, track down the album "Black Holiday" by Palm Drive, from Japanese hip-hop producer Akira. The last track "I'm Sorry", which is actually the bonus track on that disc provides a great example of a pitch bent, and a heavily modulated harmonica patch. tl;dr version: It's supposed to be fake. -
