  1. I tried this once already a year ago or so, but let's try again.

I am putting up for sale my collection of PokeMon cards.

    Total cards = 847

    -Energy = 284

    -Trainer = 112

    -PokéMon = 451

of those, there are a total of 37 rare cards, including promos, of which there are 5. There are also 5 Japanese cards.

The cards are in very good to like new condition, though some do have a bit of wear, and a few of the holographics have deck-related scratches (what can I say, I collected to play).

A few cards of note include:

    Ditto, 1st ed, holo, fossil

    Kangaskhan, holo, jungle (x2)

    Mew, promo (PokéMon League)

    Hitmonchan, japanese, holo

    Muk, holo, fossil

    Mewtwo, promo

    Sabrina's Abra, promo

Pikachu, E3 promo (foil stamp) w/yellow cheeks

    Jolteon, holo, 1st ed

    Machamp, holo, 1st ed

    Pikachu, original with red cheeks

    Articuno, holo, 1st ed, fossil

    Pinsir, holo, 1st ed, jungle

    Flareon, 1st ed, jungle

Charizard, holo (has a few scratches from use)

    Dark Persian, holo, promo

    Snorlax, holo, 1st ed, jungle

I'm offering the entire lot for $250. I'd also be willing to sell everything but the energy cards for $200 (any collector/player probably already has too many of those). I am willing to negotiate, as well.

I know I could get more if I really tried, but I don't have that much time to put into them, and I'd rather they go to someone who will appreciate them than throw them out.

On a related note, most of my Nintendo Power mags are still available. Remember, they're FREE, you only pay shipping.

  2. I *finally* got a DS, and am in desperate need of some good game suggestions, a trip to metacritic and omg there are a lot of really good games for the system, I don't have a clue what to buy!

If you want something that will really showcase the touch-screen, go with Zelda: Spirit Tracks or Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Both are phenomenal.

  3. Okay, we all want to do it, so...post yer hauls!

    Vizio 26" HDTV

    Kenneth Cole wristwatch

    Umbrellas (random and unexpected O_o)

    Bose speakers for my compy

    An AirHog plane thingy

    Desk chair

    $100 Kohl's giftcard

    $50 Best Buy card

    $50 Macy's card

  4. Just got back from the theater...holy mother of baby zombie Jesus!

As previously stated, not the most original plot, but still loved it. Kinda like FernGully, but with mechs and aliens (define who the aliens are how you will).

This was my first 3D movie and I gotta say I was impressed. I've watched stuff on YouTube using those stupid-ass red/blue glasses and always hated it, so I was happy to see they give you a pair of plastic (not paper) glasses with the diffraction grating. It took a minutes to get my eyes used to it, though. Especially when you try and focus on something in the foreground and you can't. So I guess I had a tiny learning curve to just focus on what the camera focuses on.

  5. i got the magazines today, tomb hamilton. i'm very excited! they're not in as good of condition as i had hoped, but they're still awesome and i'm really pumped.

i'm planning on sleeving them all and putting them in a collage on my wall in my 'man-cave' once we get a house, with all my game memorabilia and systems.

I'm glad they're in the hands of a fellow Nintendo Fan Boy.

Some of them are a bit worn, but they were used for their purpose. At the time I never thought about future condition/value...I just wanted to beat that damn Bowser.

  8. i might be inclined to do the whole thing, but i need to look into what issues were in there. i'm more interested for nostalgia factor than anything else =) if i only got a few, i'd get a good number.

I can list all the issues, just give me a few days (my work schedule is crazy busy till monday.

  9. i'm interested. i'd also be interested in if you'll separate certain issues. if you're going to magfest, or know someone close by who is, i'll get them there =)

edit: don't forget to look at flat-rate boxes, too, since they'd be WAY cheaper per pound than standard shipping.

I looked into flat rate boxes, but to ship them all in the biggest flat rate boxes, I'd need about four of them, for a shipping total of $55.80, which is about how much it would cost to ship to the east coast in my own box (shipping to the west coast, for all 100, is in the mid-$30's).

As for sending specific issues, I'd like to send them in as few shipments as possible, just to keep things simple. If you wanted, say, 25 or 30 of them, then that would be doable. I think I could fit 25 or 30 into a big flat rate box for $13.95.

  10. I am offering free, to a good home, my entire collection of Nintendo Power Magazines. You only pay shipping and handling.

I have 100 issues ranging from issue 20 (Jan. 1991, at least I'm 98% sure that's where they start) to issue 136 (Sept. 2000). I don't have all of the issues in between (owing to a few subscription gaps over the years), but most of them are there (plus a few from 2007). Their conditions range from like new to well used. Most still have their posters, a few don't. I don't think any of them still have collector cards in them.

They were a fun part of my life, but I plan to move out of state in January and don't want to lug them with me or throw them away; so if you're interested, they're yours! I'd rather give them to a fellow Nintendo fan boy and OCR community member than relegate them to a recycling bin.

PM me if you're interested and I'll get them all weighed and get you an S&H price.

  11. Anyone else pick up Nostalgia for the DS? It hasn't really floored me as being as awesome an RPG as, say, Chrono Trigger or Golden Sun, but I think it's one title to get.

I'm digging the steampunk Victorian setting of the story, as well as the fact that it's set on our Earth, though be it combined with your standard RPG monster varieties.

I've just now arrived in St. Petersburg, so I'm still early in the game. I guess it stretches all over the world, including Japan.

    What are everyone else's thoughts?

  12. I guess that doing VGDJ was easier back when Pixie and Zirc only had their classes to worry about. Oh, the hated realities of post-grad life. Sometimes I'd give anything to be able to re-live college and just worry about my classes and let campus life be my world again. Sigh...memorieeeeees[/Ren & Stimpy]

Sometimes the planets are just out of alignment.

In the meantime I shall eagerly await the next VGDJ (there is something to be said for delayed gratification).
