Thanks I use FL Studio... I've never even tried Reason, Cubase, Cakewalk, etc. but Fruity Loops has always worked well enough for me.

Very professional looking, nice work. I'd almost prefer the more subtle version though, not sure why. They both look good, but the one without the huge faces just looks so nice. I realize that these are just prototypes, just makes me even more excited for the finals.

This is a really great piece, and I do think that the off-key notes add character. Beautiful feel overall, a worthwhile and satisfying listen. Definitely recommended.

Hey, um... It says that cuts will soon be made with regard to the quality of work. But there is still no listing of whether our work is good enough or not. Can I expect one some time in the future?

I'm a huge fan of both your track from the DKC2 project and your Hedgehog Heaven track. It's really a shame to see you off the project, especially now that you've got an updated WIP. At least post it... Please?

The main section I have pretty much put in directly, though I may have changed the tone or a few notes. Much of the beginning is from the song as well, albeit not as major, but almost the exact same notes (I think). If you still can't find any similarity, I'll elaborate further.

Out of the blue, I have decided to post my WIP of Balloon Park Competition in this thread. Helium Stairways Well, off to review some WIPs!

Why even vote on the tracks then? If all tracks are to be included, I don't even think that there should be "winning" and "losing" ones. What's the point? If we want people to listen to both tracks equally, labeling one as better isn't a very good idea.

Is somebody going to edit in or repost that "of quality" listing from the last thread? I think that's pretty critical information for those of us not sure we'll get on the project.

I agree, that's probably what we should be shooting for as a group that's arranging the entire soundtrack. Ahem, on an unrelated note... Here is WIP 4 of my remix which has absolutely none of the feel of the original song Helium Stairways It's just that... The feel of the original sucks shit, imho. I'm just trying to improve it, by adding some, you know, beauty to the track(hopefully)? It shouldn't be a big deal, though... I mean, how many people's favorite track is Balloon Park Competition anyway? In addition, to do my part, I will write some more reviews soon... 3 is more than some have done, though

This is pretty standard, good Nuts stuff, but there are a few moments that really shine. Very clean intro, but quickly gets more complex. I prefer more melodic electronica, and this definitely fits the bill. I particularly enjoy that phrase around 3:24 and 3:38. Awesome.

I tend to think that if each and every remix is well done, the project will turn out well. Continuity? Not as important... a nice extra feature, in my view.

I put more high end EQ on the hi hats and cymbals, I changed one of the organ sounds, lowered the volume of the entire to reduce clipping, and added a couple new sections. I changed up the drums significantly, though they still sound pretty similar. I also lowered the volume of the supporting synths during the organ part because I thought they were blocking the main instrument out. I'd guess the most audible changes I made are the EQed hi-hats and the new organ sample. Though if you had your speakers at the same level both listens, the first one probably would have sounded better because of the higher volume.

You're right, it isn't, but I take my music seriously.

I know that being called a bad remixer and calling the group of WIPs that my song is a part of a ball of turd has motivated me to create music to the best of my effort. The only thing that could make my creative drive stronger is if I was insulted exclusively and personally! Actually I was kidding it lowered my self esteem keep snapplman out of our support group

I somewhat disagree with this track being on the project considering all the other S3-only tracks got dropped, but hey, i'll get over it ^^ I think this project is so good because it's pushing many people to mix Sonic songs and put them together. Now the song is getting done it wouldn't be very clever to put it aside... Anyway Sora, I have to say I liked the previous version best. When I listen the new one, I don't find the same feeling... I think you have overworked it. Doesn't anyone think the same? I persoanlly think he went a bit overboard with the drums in the whole song, lol. Tone down the drums please. you're putting in allot more drums than were in the original melody. The song has a strange watery feel... I don't know exactly what it is, possibly overcompression?

I inferred that the reason that Sadorf was off the project was because of this "fun". Maybe I didn't read the thread carefully enough. Seems like kind of a needless waste of what probably would have been a good mix.
