  1. Err.. New version finished. I'll be posting it in my song's thread soon. So you can take me off that list now.
  2. Thanks man. Ahh, so refreshing. Pretty nifty background you've got there yourself, by the way.
  3. On the topic of FL artwork, those damn grey-green fruits are really starting to depress me. How do you change the fruity loops wallpaper? And in response to the guy above me, I use a wireless network connection and Fruity Loops, and have found no relationship between any aspect of the two in any way shape or form.
  4. Well, just PMed the final version of my song to KFC. Wish me luck people. I don't know who else could possibly want to remix Balloon Park Competition though. Edit: Are all songs on CD 2 "Bonus Cuts" not part of the album and just bonus cuts on the website? Or is it gonna be a true 2-discer?
  5. Great remixes all around. I particularly liked Carbunkle & Ryan8bit's The Glass Moon, RoeTaKa's Ocean Pollen, and TO & Bladiator's Jade Spawn. Good job everyone. Oh yeah, and ArseAssassin's This Can't Be Good, and EvilHorde's Hangarmageddon, and Analoq's.. Damn, too many good songs. Edit: TO's intermission was pretty cool too...
  6. WIth a title like Project Chaos, it's got to look somewhat badass. I wouldn't like it pixely.
  7. With a stretch of the imagination, I can listen to this song and hear the bass play in tune. And it sounds good.
  8. Nope. Someone that has a membership (free, btw) can just click the direct download link, get the url, and paste it elsewhere for anyone's use.
  9. This is really nice, a very calming listen. The instruments all sound so vibrant, this is truly awesome stuff.
  10. Ok, I'll give you the sheet music when I'm done with the arrangement, but I know almost nothing about actual guitars, so feel free to transpose it into an easier key for you or simplify it if that's a problem. Thanks.
  11. Thanks. If anyone else has any problems or comments, I'll be sure to fix them up. But yeah, unless someone has quality, source-recognition, or any other major problems with it, this is the extent of the arrangement aspect.
  12. I'll claim one of the bonus tracks. I don't really feel like taking on a full track to remix at this point (they're really long), so how about a fun little mix of Match Start? WIP here. I spent about an hour on it last night.
  13. I sent you a new WIP, Kyle. It doesn't have much new material, but it's a bit more polished. I've decided to include a sort of mild electric guitar, It'll probably sound bad among all the live tracks though.
  14. I think I agree here, I also think the melody of the piano right before :02, then again at :05 and so on, sounds a little fake. (at that point, no other really...the piano overall is pretty nice) It's the progression of those notes or something. This may be a bit too early in the mix to say this, but lowering the volume on one or more of those three notes (preferably the 1st and 3rd) might solve the problem quick. I am thinking of what it would feel like to play those notes on a piano, and I wouldn't put the same amount of pressure on those keys...it doesn't sound or feel natural to me. So anyway...That's just nitpicking. It sounds pretty nice so far...makes me wonder what you plan on doing next with this. Yeh... I made the first WIP in probably 5 minutes, spent about 10 seconds on the individual velocities and stuff. It was just to see if I was getting the mood right. Thanks for your feedback anyway though. RedleMas: It's Milkyway Overworld, I've only included about the first 15 seconds of the source so far though.
  15. I just wanted to post a quick first try here to find out if it was "spacey" or "ambient" enough. http://64.124.20.70/connX/11/01/freemp3/ichitootah+kirbystorybookwip.mp3 Just to find out if you have any problem with where I'm going with this... Edit: Are we gonna be cued with specific with specific time points in our tracks where we should, say, make a transition into major key for a particularly heartwarming line, or increase tempo, etc.?
  16. I guess this is a call to action for the rest of us not-quite-so established mixers. Luckily, no one wants to touch Ballon Park Competition so I'm safe... for now. I sent a new version to you and Snapple, KFC.
  17. in the back cover the artwork must play a weaker part than the front and the text has to atract the attention. Even so, there are more professional looking ways of dulling the background without simply lowering the brightness. Mass amounts of blur tool?
  18. Sure, but nobody stepped up and actually said "I'M CLAIMING THAT TRACK!" At least, as far as I saw. Might as well answer for him as he's not likely to check back here soon.
  19. If you need some kind of proof that I can remix or something, check out this or this.
  20. This sounds awesome. I'm up for Milky Way Overworld, I would take credits, but I don't feel I could do it justice on my own. However, if anyone would be interested in some kind of collaboration on that track I'd be happy to help.
  21. I really didn't appreciate this piece of music, but hey, what do I know. Dissonance just isn't my thing I guess.
  22. I don't know why I haven't written a review for this song for this long. It's just beautiful. I've never even played Chrono Trigger, and it still struck me as a great piece. This is really one of the songs that inspired me to keep going with my music, in hopes that one day I could make something like this. Definitely a keeper, and one of my favorites for sure.
  23. I'm looking for a good rock organ soundfont, like the kind they use in the Napoleon Dynamite soundtrack. I have Sampletank 2, but the included organ samples just don't really feel right. Anyone got some ideas?
  24. I'm sorry to say that this song didn't really strike me as too good. The synths are way detuned and not vibrant, and mix has little harmony whatsoever, many instruments clash in some places. I was a bit surprised, as the source tune just sounds great by itself, I didn't think you could make a remix that squanders that potential. It may be that this genre just doesn't fit with a tune heavily reliant on harmony like the source. But actually I've heard the one from Project Majestic Mix, and it's pretty good.
