  1. Erm, just wanted to show another quick WIP to clarify something. I haven't added or changed much, but it should give you a much better idea of what I was thinking with that last section and how the theme will be incorporated (or at least some of how it will be). WIP
  2. After reading your new rules (in specific, accepted mixers can look through the GBS and remix a song for the project), I'd like to re-audition. I already have a 2:00 WIP which can serve as my audition piece as well. Though it obviously has a LOT of things that need to be cleaned up, and doesn't feature all that much of the theme at this point (though I'm just getting into a theme-intensive section) it should do. It'll be a remix of Weird Mister Write. I'm pretty good about taking criticism as well, so feel free to do your worst. WIP
  3. Just out of curiosity does this mean that you only accept remixers that have played the game and love the theme personally or something? Or do they form the personal connection with the song on the spot?
  4. *yawn* I've gotten a lot better since I've worked on my song, but if I tweaked it now my FL would probably explode, as my speakers turn into one giant clipping signal the minute I play the project file. Oh well. ... Can't wait to see what the finished site looks like.
  5. Better buy a 50-pack spindle. It seems like one of the toughest things will be to make sure that each track individually is worth listening to as well.
  6. Just FYI your song has almost a minute of silence at the end, unless winamp deceives me. And yeah, sorry I wasn't here for the anything, kinda forgot about it. But it looks like you've got enough mixers anyway so whatever. Good luck.
  7. This is really great. Lots of emotion here, and DJP does what he set out to do admirably.
  8. This is definitely a case of awesome arrangement winning over professional sheen. I'm glad cool mixes can still make on virtues other than production values.
  9. It's deserted? You mean, you don't see the proper forums? ZAA~AAK! Please add Ichitootah to the remixers group! btw. I really like the way your WIP turned out! Very relaxing ^-^ Sixto: It's not a problem with the missing guitars right now, we all can imagine them being there Seriously, hope you will get better soon! And yeah, you should check the tracklist in the first post and look up the songs you are signed up for and listen to the *NEW* SPC set and look if they are the ones you wanted. Just to make sure Oright. I should've registered. Forgot they were private forums. But now I'm trying to and I get an error. I'll try again later. Oh well, at least I know you guys have a proper forum now.
  10. Hm. WIP from me. Meridian Child WIP 1 If you've got anything in mind I'd be glad to hear it. I can't decide if the main melody of my song should come in as groovy, orchestral, or... groovechestral. I would use the other forum but it's like... deserted. And in a language I don't know.
  11. Didn't foxhound get a little miffed with KFC? It seemed like it by his comments in that apology thread or something.
  12. *cough*comments?*cough* Make it a bit louder maybe? By the way, I'm all for separate boss songs. If the mixer covering the stage can't do it, someone else can just do one in the same style.
  13. http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24175&start=75 It's not got much at this point though.
  14. Heh. It's a different issue with mine. I used almost the same notes for many of the sections, but the feel is completely altered. My excuse? The old feel was.. um.. ugly.
  15. Looks like you guys are in severe need of mixers. Should I consider picking up another track?
  16. I've got a new version. Lots of stuff to say about it, I guess I'll edit the thread on the forums.
  17. Holy shit, I never knew DJP did a You are Not Alone remix. Anyway, this is much more awesome than I could have expected, and my expectations were pretty high for this when I heard about it. I enjoy it immensely.
  18. I'd be happy to join, if I did i'd probably take something like a slow minor key interpretation of turtle rock. Though I guess I'll let you decide for yourself if you even want me. Remix- Path of the Wind Here's a WIP of a remix of a song from the anime Totoro. It's my most recent work, and in my style pretty much, even though its not finished. You have to sign up to get it, but I'm afraid I don't have many other options but soundclick.
  19. Another Sampletank problem here, but I wouldn't be surprised if it applied to other plugins similar to it. I'm having this problem when I try to route Sampletank to midi channels. So, I set the port on my Sampletank from --- to 0, I set the port on my midi out to 0. Then I put an instrument in Sampletank's first channel, and I use the midi out (which I also set to channel 1) to control it. Simple right? But then, when I try to change the volume in sampletank, and expect it to carry over to the midi channel (why not?), the volume invariably resets itself to 100. The pan resets as well. It resets the volume and pan every time I press play, pause, or stop. This only happens if there is a midi channel set to the corresponding port and channel of my sampletank. If either of those are different, the volume and pan reset will not happen. If both are the same, even if there is no data in the midi channel, sampletank will still reset itself every time I press play, pause or stop in fruity. It ONLY resets volume and pan, not attack, decay, anything else. Volume & pan just so happen to be right next to eachother on the very right side of sampletank, i'm not sure what that has to do with anything. I'm completely baffled by this. Please help! I'll be very grateful.
  20. I never realized until just recently how awesome this mix really was. It's got some great melodies, nice sounding synths, awesome buildups, everything a trance song should have. It even has those vocals for some extra flavor.
  21. Heh. I played this game, don't remember much of the BGM though. Anyway, this remix is quite impressive. I really love the sort of lonely feel it has at the beginning, that is augmented as the track moves forward with additional instruments. It kind of keeps that feel throughout, at least to me, with the flutey trails and minimalistic guitar, as well as, of course, the wind sfx and ethnicy percussion. Hmm, weird sentence there. Anyway, good stuff. Keep it up.
  22. Mmmm, nice. Love the genre translation of this melody, it sounds awesome. This is probably my favorite mix of yours so far, chth. Keep churnin' em out.
