  1. Downloading. Thanks buddy! Will post my opinions after listening
  2. This is..... deeply disturbing, to say the least. Though not surprising.
  3. I actually lucked into programming. I studied math in college and now I program for an insurance company. Though I would hardly call COBOL real programming.

  4. I can play the trumpet, but I haven't played in a year or so.
  5. Whoever sends mine, please don't send anything through FedEx. They don't like to leave things at my door, and the closest office is at least an hour away.
  6. I'm in. I like gifts, both giving and receiving.
  7. A few years ago, I had just recently gotten a used copy of Dragon Warrior 7, and about 12 hours in, I get to this cursed town, only to find that the item that uncurses it, which you get by saving a previous town, is not in my inventory. I scrapped that save (ocviously), and never played from that disk again. I didn't trust that bastard. I did finally get past that point, when I played it on my PSP.
  8. Just realized I wasn't on the list of people attending. Dunno if it's important though.
  9. I played the Sonic 4 demo. It's very disappointing. At least I enjoy playing old games over and over again, cause I feel that's the only way I'll get to play a good Sonic game.
  10. I never owned a Dreamcast, but I had the 2 adventure games on the Gamecube. I really enjoyed both of them, and I even enjoyed Heroes, until the physics glitches made it impossible to get past this area without dying. That was the beginning of the end for me. My favorite is still CD, closely followed by 3&K. My first system was a Game Gear, so I love most of the super-old ones as well. I also remember the summer before Adventure 1 came out, I had made a Sonic-themed board game called "Sonic Adventure", and was kinda pissed to hear SonicTeam stole my name.
  11. New WIP time! Added some glitch effects, a few midi drum tracks, and various other tweaks and the like. Enjoy and comment!
  12. I'm definitely hoping for an after hours OCR get-together
  13. This'll be my first MAGFest, and I'm super excited. I've heard so many awesome things about it from this community that I just had to attend. I'm bring three people who aren't affiliated with this site, so I want to use MAGFest as a way to show them how truly awesome the OCR people are. And I'm excited to meet people IRL that I've made friends with on IRC.
  14. Hey all I have a new mix I'm working on, and I'd like some feedback! I know the drums aren't great yet and there's not really any direction, but this is only 2 days worth of work and I thought I had a few good ideas so far. Originals: http://ecco-darksea.com/music/ecco2_04.mp3 http://www.ecco-darksea.com/prototypes/e2md_x11/audio/X11_07.mp3 And my renditions: http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?fid=871 http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?fid=870 As always, listen and comment!
  15. so basically all i've done is replaced some samples and added drums. this is my first time writing a whole drum line so go a little easy on me http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?fid=869 and here's the flp (in case people want to assist) http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?fid=868 listen and comment!
  16. Hello all! This is illusen, under a new name. I've started working on this mix again, and my first venture into writing a drum track. Hopefully I'll get it out fairly soon, but until then please review my old one (ver 5) and give me some notes/ideas!
  17. For me, it was the various Sonic the hedgehog games I had on PC. Sonic 3 and Knuckles collection, Sonic CD, and Sonic 3D Blast. CD and 3D Blast had real audio too, so I'd listen to them in my cd player and to fall asleep to. But those soundtracks were slightly different than the genesis ones, so all the real songs sound strange to me, and the PC ones sound better, imo.
  18. i'm really not sure, i kinda need an outside opinion on what would actually go better. i wanna say electro beats but not 100% sure. i definitely don't want the standard trance style drums. something with a lot of off-beats and syncopation would be nice. go with your best judgment and i'll let you know what i think! thanks so much!
  19. i think it starts out at 100 bpm, and halfway thru goes to 105
  20. i've been working on an ecco the dolphin (tides of time, gg) mix for ages, and i'm getting up to the point where there's not much else to do but put in drum beats and mix it all together. having never played drums irl, i have no idea how to begin writing a beat. please help? http://rapidshare.com/files/367391009/Undertow_24.0.mp3 thanks greatly!
